Agree with you on the Murillo hype. The eye catching stuff gives it traction, but yet another token jump for there first goal & Haaland turning him inside out for the second says different.

Give me Boly every day of the week.
How many weeks has boly got left in his career compared to murillo.

Ceiling on murillo is as high as it comes in my opinion. That's what I think people are raving about.

Really good defenders who are held together with gaffer tape and toothpicks like felipe and Boly aren't as easy to get excited about.

3 at the back allows you to have both of course as well as AN Other.

His stock is high, a great reason to cash in. His potential is limited by his height as a CH.

We WILL need to sell players for profit, that's just the way it works up here. Strike whilst the irons hot, should already have the next Murillo lined up.

With Murillo people can see the potential of the player he could, but sometimes that overshadows the mistakes he makes. For instance his passing range is brilliant as many have already mentioned, but there was a point in the 2nd half yesterday where he was on the ball 3 times in a couple of minutes and each time smashed it way over everyone's head for a throw in. In Forest's current position that is the sort of stuff we can do without.

Don't disagree with that. We are in a trading game with players as much as we are about putting a team out on the pitch nowadays.

Hard to balance the two and actually enjoy it.

Deffo mate, a f***ing nightmare some might suggest!

Our recruitment needs to be better, hard to do overnight. I'd love to see us sell a player for a profit that wont impact the side too much and I just think Murilo might fits that criteria. If the club have any sense they will be looking at replacements for MGW too. Brighton have done it superbly but as you know, its not as straight forward as it looks, Every other club is looking at these "replacements" too.

This league does my box in.

He may overplay passes at times but he also picks out some great balls, I'll take that over what we've had for what seemed forever of defenders just smashing it upfield with no other thought than it being in the general direction of the centre forward.

He's superb in one on one match ups when players attempt to beat him, shows great strength and is a good tackler.

He's undeniably found wanting in aerial duels though, gets caught flat footed at times and just doesn't seem to time his headers that well. You would hope that he can improve on this given his age and relative lack of first team football though.

I still think Murillo would make a top class DM. It would allow him to do everything he's good at like spraying passes around & tackling & do less of things he's not so good at like heading. As Rockhopper says he can be caught a bit flat-footed sometimes which wouldn't be so costly if he wasn't the last line of defence. The protection he would offer the defence would be immense whilst still having the ability to start attacks. They should spend the summer working on that in my humble opinion.

No disrespect intebded, but I genuinely don't understand the calls for Murillo to be anything other than what he is - he can get caught out in tight spots and I'm not sure he can receive on the turn. He's a brilliant CB though, already at a higher level than most at a really young age without much experience at all and fantastic passing range - let him develop in that spot is my take. And he'll be fantastic in a possession based side that like to overload.

I know what you're saying but I would rather he was caught out with a line of defenders behind him than just a goalkeeper 🤷‍♂️
No idea what he'd be like receiving the ball on the turn cos he's never really had to do it on a regular basis but I'm sure it's something that can be taught over the summer. Anyway it's all hypothetical cos I doubt it will happen. Maybe it's a simplistic view but I just think he's talented enough to learn that position & be bloody good at it.

He is trying to learn CB, why would you then try to convert him to another position he has to then learn. But What Nuno did yesterday suits him as 3 CB allows the CB to step into midfield and Boly did that on a few occasions chasing the attacker up the pitch as he knows he has protection and adds extra body in middle if needed.

Why? Because I think he's talented enough to do it & do it well. I'm not going to stand outside the ground with a placard though. If he carries on in his current position he'll be bloody good at that too so I'll be happy either way as long as we can keep hold of him. I was just expressing an opinion is all. It's been done to death anyway, perhaps just agree to disagree.

& yes I agree the 3 CB's worked brilliantly even when Dave came in to replace Murillo.
We have to keep that going to the end of the season

Edit: Who the hell is Dave? I meant Andy - it was late & I was tired lol

Everyone jumping on Murillo over the Haaland goal, when it was obvious he was carrying a knock at the time. Ludicrous. The guy has less than 100 games under his belt as professional. He has performed at a strong level virtually all season, and a number of you are jumping on him for making the odd mistake. Absolutely unbelievable.

He was carrying a knock for the Haaland goal no doubt about it, no blame there from me.

We are however going to have to start turning profit on players sooner rather than later and despite his potential he's not gonna grow another 6 inches.

Prime for a nove to Spain, step Forward Real Madrid please 😀

Somewhat ironically it also suits Worrall as the right of the three, though I think that ship may have sailed.

A further thought on the Man City game. Both sides played football and didn't dive about, whining. There was hardly any of the cheating that spoils so many EPL games, and Forest are not blameless in that regard. I can't help but feel that if both teams agree to play the game without the cheating, you get a better game to watch. You also leave feeling that the referee had a good game. Taking that line of thinking further, if all teams cut out the diving, moaning and what not, all refs would I think appear to have a better game. EPL it's over to you.

Brownie points from me then for City and Pep for approaching a game of football in the right way. If they'd have been diving about like some I could mention then no doubt Forest would have done the same.

Greetings from Boston Docks by the way, a town with a football club that is on the up. Nice stadium if you haven't been, but the old York Street, full of character and atmosphere, remains largely untouched by the hand of developers. An eyesore now, an embarrassment. The economic climate is bleak if you are, like Boston, at the edge of things.

Boston: should that have a Spa?
I did most of my hill climbing training on the cycle round there :)

I think it's Boston with the Stump; there are claims it can be seen from King's Lynn, across the Wash, but I've not seen it myself.
Probably can on a clear day given how flat most of that part of the world is.

Interestingly Hunstanton (not too far away from KL) is the only west-facing coastal town on the East coast

Exactly so, Boston docks is a clue perhaps? I don't know if the Stump can be seen from Kings Lynn but I wouldn't be surprised. The countryside is extremely flat around here. You get some really huge skies, and also some biting winds that seem to come directly from Russia! It's also very damp and it feels uncared for, there are some horrible modern buildings amidst some old, historic and good to look at warehouses by the river. It's also full of Brexity types.

Sounds a bit like Lynn! Though there they are Londoners who find their two up/two down in London can buy a mansion (sort of) in Norfolk.
