Just seen Jason on BBC Breakfast. He's now something like Equalities Officer at PFA(I'm not sure of the title because I'm a bit dozy at breakfast - actually dozy most of the time) and looked bald! But his old hairstyle had part of the discussion the earlier part of which I had missed.

Came across as very serious and, if I'm honest, rather boring.

I don't have a bad word to say about Jason Lee. Made the most of his Forest career given his limited ability.

I think Jason Lee and Julian Bennett won many fans just down to their sheer enthusiasm and effort that they put in every game. They seemed to play like a fan would play given the chance.

Maybe worth reposting this again:

And yes, I liked Julian because he gave absolutely 100% every time he played. We could do with him now, actually.

He would stay in his box or be dropped by the current manager.

Having met Julian a number of times, if anyone were doing the dropping, it would be him!

Was talking with my West Ham supporting son in law at the weekend (whilst we were having lunch and a lovely chat outside in the sunshine, bloody West Ham came back from 2-1 down, with me secretly gloating, to bloody win the game!) about Antonio and the gist of our conversation was that fans always respond to players who give their all for the team. Whether or not they are any good, it's the sheer energy and enthusiasm that we respond to.

Pineapples have rights too... Just don't tell Baddiel and Skinner.
