I think it was more a nod to the so called 'loyalty' of Derby fans when 6,000 fans have gone awol since the start of the season.

we only gave you 2700 because we can fill the ground ourselves, you may as well give us 4000, less for you lot to flog then save any embarrasment eh.

and most of you got season tickets very cheap because of the offer of buying a premiership season ticket last year
obviously your chairmen wasn't expecting much so thats what he did to get bums on seats for this year in the championship.
any team could sell 70% of ground as season tickets for the premiership and then get people buying tickets half price the next year.
