Rumour that they are trying to sign 31 year old Rotherham striker Conor Washington. 
Like Rzar said, they signed a bunch of players nearing the end of their careers last summer, but at least you could argue that those players had some quality and had done well at a higher level at some point in their careers. This season they are signing old players again, but of much lower quality.

Holy crap I had to go through derby today. I never knew a town could actually go downhill… it has. It’s the complete lack of buzz, commercial activity and overall desperation of the place. Nottingham is so lucky to have such vibrancy helped of course by 80k students. But seriously hang your heads in shame leaders of DCC it’s embarrassing

Agree completely, I don't think it's just me being bias.
Derby as a city is dated and boring, it's like a big version of Bulwell (no offence to the Bullwellians amongst us).
Derbyshire is nicer than Nottinghamshire (only because it looks nicer - all those rolling hills as Chris Kirchner noted), but Nottingham is way nicer than Derby.
So is Chernobyl.

It really a beautiful county only…Funny enough the further away you get from derby.
It’s just night and day between the Cities. I just think it also lacks any positive vibe… Belper is way more appealing. Derby has wasted years and years of opportunities.

In the market square in Derby they have a bench that is facing a wall. Literally four foot from it.
