Does anyone remember sheep shagging Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

Even if Erewash Borough Council are responsible for the hold up (I highly doubt it), I highly doubt its because its because there are Forest fans involved in the council. Crouton seems to think everyone has the same childish worldview as him.
Wish I was on that council …….Oi man pull me finger 👈

Red dogs isn't even insulting. People like dogs. Florist just makes me laugh.

Things like this is why I won't miss the "rivalry". Its shit.
Completely agree - Red Dog is a pretty cool term to my mind and the "rivalry" is none existent for me, they're at best like your weird younger cousin that should have been left locked in the attic. I never really had any strong feelings about them and took the whole thing as a bit of a light-hearted fun but this whole saga though has unearthed a side of them that's both unsettling and unhealthy. I do have mates who are Derby fans but they're not that lot in Mordor .. who're just weird.

The horror of Crewton's world is mind-blowing, his world view is dominated by one thought it seems so every decision he makes, every problem in the world, every person he meets seems to be based on whether they're a "Red Dog" and if they are, well they must be evil incarnate who's every thought, decision and action is governed by how much it'll adversely impact the holy Derby County.... I'm now seeing him sat in his bedroom in his mum's house with a tin foil helmet to ward off the evil mind controlling rays of the Red Dog Illuminati.. Sad, sad little man.
I bet when he failed all his exams, he blamed it on the marker being a 'Red Dog'.

I have never understood the "Red Dog" thing. Is it supposed to be an insult?

Hardly break your heart stuff is it.

Same with Florist. Is that the best they can come up with?
I've actually always thought Red Dog sounded cool, I actually thought it was what die hard Forest fans called themselves for a few years haha

Florist is just horrible, I mean what's even the insult? Oh no you're calling us people who sell flowers, ouch! It's just as bad as when we call Leicester Fester, just because the words rhyme doesn't mean they work as insults lol

I just want to see them get their comeuppance for all their cheating and arrogance over the years (whether that be liquidation or League Two). Once they have suffered the consequences of their actions, I'll probably give them as much thought as I do Notts County. The "rivalry" can get in the bin, as far as I'm concerned.

Can anyone here honestly say that they'll miss the Derby games (apart from the almost guaranteed three points) I mean did anyone either enjoy going or generally actually feel especially happy when we won, was it the first fixture you looked for? Not me ...

Me neither.

Cannot stand them, the matches are inevitably attritional grudge-fests accompanied by the frenzied bleating of their inbred supporters.

Forest have bigger fish to fry now.

It has always been Sunderland for me growing up amongst them, and getting bashed up daily,

but Derby’s obnoxious behaviour and unwillingness to accept responsibility for the situation they find themselves in has definitely hardened me towards them.

I won't miss the games at all. They are usually awful, scrappy affairs and I hate the circus that surrounds them. I wouldn't say our win over them was a highlight of the season for me, I could name plenty of games that I enjoyed more or where the result felt more satisfying.

I hope we never play them again, personally.

Similar, but it's the mags for me. Entitled arses who, save for about 5 years, have been a total irrelevance in football.

I also think it's laughable as both sets of fans sign off footy rants with FTM seemingly without realising how ridiculous it is.

Derby have never even come in to my waking thoughts until now, where we at least get a good laugh.

Tyne-Wear derby matches I attended I always wanted Newcastle to do Sunderland, both on and ff the pitch.

I actually think the Derby games have given us some really memorable moments that we simply wouldn't get in any other game.
Nathan Tyson waving the corner flag and filling Leacock with impotent rage, Billy and Nige's sideline antics etc, the post match euphoria after we beat them 5-2...etc...

I used to love going to derby games. The times I saw us win at the old Baseball Ground were just magical.
In particular the night when they put us in the Pop side instead of behind the goal for some reason. Gary Charles was playing for them and so was getting merciless stick as he was an ex Red, and we won 2-0.
Brilliant.
