Exactly. It's easy to give a decision in favour of Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City etc... Then you're not the bad guy if VAR overrules it (which they rarely will). But then they don't give decision for Forest, Wolves etc... and VAR shrugs its shoulders and goes "not clear and obvious", but had they...
Completely agree. We've had many a bad season over the years, many off the field issues, plenty of bad luck - but this year has all of it. It's been a bit soul destroying. My worry is that this is the Premier League. Once the initial shine wears off, it's just miserable.
The Championship felt like an eternal promise of jam tomorrow. The Premier League may be jam today, but it turns out it is rancid, mouldy goop in nice packaging and you're only allowed one of those little hotel jars because the big boys have priority hoarding on the big jars.
I'd still prefer...
Do they even know what bias means? Souness basically saying: "They're not biased but they sway towards the bigger clubs". Stan Collymore - who I think usually speaks more sense than most pundits - was saying similar things on Twitter yesterday about how there is no conspiracy against Forest (or...
The tweet is stupid and borderline suicidal. We won't win this fight or achieve anything of note. We'll get a fine, more lambasting from "respectable" shills pundits and barely a throw in given our way the rest of the season. However, I think everything it is insinuating is correct.
I genuinely hope the club have something concrete they've been sitting on and it's not just posturing/bravado. I agree that the level of these decisions now is beyond coincidence; utter incompetence or outright corruption are the only logical conclusions and they need investigating either way. I...
The retail park with the Boots and Next in does my head in. First 45 mins free but you have to pay thereafter, but don't get a ticket to say what time you entered. Was 10 minutes over once at 8pm on a weeknight when the whole car park was empty. Got a £50 fine, despite just spending £250 in TK...
The EFL and non-league clubs should just refuse to enter and play in the competition until replays are reinstated for at least rounds 1-4. You can't run the competition without them, and if the FA try, it'll be an absolute farce.
I think that only really works for the second half a season. I got an U18 one in the 02/03 Paul Hart Playoff season because we were doing well. But not sure it would work for the first half of the season - can't see anyone then giving up their half-season tickets midway through the season...
Hoping to see Murillo finally score from his own half. Of all the keepers to catch out, Pickford's got to be the most vulnerable in the league. He's short (for a keeper) and he loves a wander.
I think that is a totally rational anxiety. Burnley are the sort of side that once they're relegated will probably find some form and win a few. And Sheffield Utd will either be relegated by the time we play them, or on the very edge of the precipice - either way they'll wanna take us down with...
But they're trying to make it one. Chelsea and Man City climbed that ladder with stacks of cash and took advantage of what few rules there were regarding football finance there were. Spurs have pulled off the greatest magic trick of all time by convincing everyone how massive they are, despite...
Before today's results I was thinking 32 points would probably be enough. So 2 wins and a draw out of Wolves, Everton, Sheffield Utd, Chelsea and Burnley seemed very doable (always unlikely to get anything out of Spurs and Man City). Not so sure now. We might need 3 wins, and one of them needs...
He's either making some clever commentary about Everton's debt being so high that Bill Kenwright even sold his soul to keep the club afloat so he haunts Goodison Park like some purgatorial spectre; or it's a bit of a cockup and he forgot he was dead. I suspect it's the latter.
