51 points dropped from winning positions, thats why we'll go down if we do. Any game thats close we are incapable of winning, we have to be massively better than the opposition to get a win. We've got some great young players, we play pretty good football, but we just can't win games.

This is one of the most amazing stats that will define us. An unbelievable amount of dropped points.

Retaining just a fifth would make so much difference.

If it weren't for the points deduction we'd be in 15th place on 30 points so I conclude that we are good enough to stay up.
My only thing with this is if we're looking at a pure footballing table (ie. no points deductions) then you have to ignore Everton's deductions too

But either way the point remains the same - we'd still be five points ahead of Luton and pretty much home and dry

Really sorry to say it, that was rubbish. No spark at all bar the first 10 minutes and a little bit towards the end of the second. Nuno is no doubt a lovely bloke but needs to kick some backsides or we're going down without a whimper.

I'd watch that if it was anything like the Megadrive game!

I was thinking more like Belushi Speadball

I like MGW and Reyna together allowing for movement and switching. Would continue that partnership. Definitely would bring in Dom for Yates.
Agree on both counts (while Elanga is injured anyway). I'd also be thinking about playing Ribeiro as the change for Reyna out wide rather than Origi. The kid showed more in 5 minutes than Origi has most of the season.

More crap/late substitutions from the coach again. Why did he think bringing on Ribeiro in the 89th minute was a good idea? No need to say anything about Origi is there, but how the hell did Tavares get the nod ahead of Toffs?
In respect of Tavares, he linked really well CHO before his injury. I can understand him wanting to get some minutes into him and he's more attacking than Toffs. Granted Tavares wasn't great but he's rusty and there were actually a couple of passes he made that made him look daft but he actually played the right ball but the player in front of him hadn't moved into the right position.

I agree, he had a couple of decent games in an attacking sense, but everything Tavares did in his cameo today was poor. MGW bollocking him for not moving after MGW passed into space he expected Tavares to be running into was just one example. Also, Toffs is one of the best crossers at the club, and we could really use that option to get Wood into the game, something he was barely able to do today.

I can see a fit Tavares on the left and Aina shifting to the right. It's a more physical and dynamic line-up. Unfair on Williams, but I expect that's next and penultimate spin of the Wheel of Fortune.
As brilliant as Williams was last month, he's struggled to replicate anything like his form from March. when I saw Tavares come on it did make me wonder if the same switch you mentioned might be on the cards for a few games.

I know it doesn't mean a huge deal but the 5 games Luton have left, in the reverse fixtures they have lost 4 and drawn one (Against 10 man Wolves).

In our reverse fixtures we have 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw which is hardly form that will challenge for the title but its a million times better than theirs.

Luton are getting the Carvalho edit where they are more dangerous and skilled when not playing but when they do play they have largely flattered to deceive.

We have been quite poor overall this season but points deduction aside would still be well clear of them.

The Tavares sub I can see the logic of, even if it wasn't effective and probably left too late to ever be so

And whilst Origi is shit and offers nothing, with Awoniyi and Elanga injured Nuno doesn't really have any other option does he? Ribiero I guess the only one

I am fairly sure he could round-up a couple of plastic cones off the training pitch that might be more effective than Divock Origi.
