I actually forgot Bastien's was a thing - I've mentally conflated his latter career with that of u17 Germany star Bopp, who I remember from his academy 'star' days.

In my head there were very high hopes for him around the Hart era (?), based on his very high technical level?Eugen Bopp did get two caps at under-19 level for Germany…
Yes, he was one for whom there were high expectations, but it never really panned out that way.In my head there were very high hopes for him around the Hart era (?), based on his very high technical level?
I have a signed forest shirt somewhere from the Hart era reserve side. Bopp is on there but I can't say many of the names on it ever made it far for Forest. In my head there were very high hopes for him around the Hart era (?), based on his very high technical level?
I've definitely confused their post forest career, but think I'm remembering forest period Bopp correctly. (worryingly I've forgotten Bastian's completely for us, though have clearly followed his career post believing him to be someone else! @Bonfy177 would understand I'm sure)Yes, he was be for whom there were high expectations, but it never really panned out that way.
Felix Bastians (who I think you’re confusing him with) post-Forest, represented SC Freiburg, VfL Bochum and Rot-Weiß Essen, with some distinction. He was also capped at under-21 level for Germany.
No to the full back link as others have mentioned - but his technical level when he arrived from Bayern was seen as well ahead of his peers at Forest.Remember Eugene Bopp - massive things expected of him from an early age due to his technical level iirc. Didn't he have a good career after converting to full back?
They showed this in the post-match analysis on MotD last night. It was a good little section actually, very complimentary. That was proper baller stuff, ball coming out of the clouds, close to the touchline and under pressure and he just killed it tight to his body.
Nah - it was only the last international break when 'everyone' was of the opinion that we should shuffle him into an unpreferred midfield role to make room for theI meant to say earlier that I noticed he hobbled off down the tunnel after he was substituted, hoping it was only a little knock as we certainly need him available!
He then jogged down the tunnel, seemingly unimpeded, a little later. Hopefully, it was nothing more than a touch of cramp earlier?I meant to say earlier that I noticed he hobbled off down the tunnel after he was substituted, hoping it was only a little knock as we certainly need him available!
I'm sure I remember him taking his seat in the dug-out. At the end of the game, he was certainly in the dugout as there was footage of him jumping out to celebrate.I meant to say earlier that I noticed he hobbled off down the tunnel after he was substituted, hoping it was only a little knock as we certainly need him available!
Can Forza do a tifo display for other members of the team? I am sure this acted as an additional motivation for MGW so well done to all involved at Forza Garibaldi for the great effort put in to make these displays happen. The boy done good last night, that's for sure.
Now playing for Basford United I believe. Wrecked by a Derby tackle!Eugen Bopp did get two caps at under-19 level for Germany…
Yeah, he then left the bench and went down the tunnel limping. I was sat right above the tunnel for this game. I didn't notice him come back out, but presumably he was wrapped up at that point.I'm sure I remember him taking his seat in the dug-out. Edit: found the moment when he was subbed and climbing into the dugout

Nope - playing for no one.Now playing for Basford United I believe. Wrecked by a Derby tackle!
Awesome. Sounds like he pulled my trick then! The matchday pass video has him running into the tunnel after being on the pitch at the end.

His agent is CAA Stellar - their other notable clients include Jack Grealish, Ivan Toney, James Ward-Prowse, Kobbie Mainoo, Ezri Konza, Luke Shaw, Ben Chilwell and Kalvin Phillips.Another season and he will do him a world of good, he will have half the league at his feet but we have seen players heads turned to early before and if he goes it won't be the last one.
Toffs was checking up on his Acca.Yeah, he then left the bench and went down the tunnel limping. I was sat right above the tunnel for this game. I didn't notice him come back out, but presumably he was wrapped up at that point.
Perhaps he was doing what I would do and make out that the reason I had been subbed was because I was injured and not rubbish!
I was amazed by how often Toffolo went back into the dressing room before he came on.
Shamone!Following on from 'how does he do that'
This clip appeared on my timeline, which reminds me that his kinaesthetic awareness and response is pretty well developed.
