Steve Cooper will always be the MAN!

It’s simple. Which side of the fence are you on?

In a nutshell for me, Taiwos injury has been beyond dibilitating, with his replacements not up to it, I find myself looking at the recruitment team again.

Coopers made a couple of ricks, but from where we've come to where we are now, in all aspects, he's performed a miracle.

That shouldn't be forgotten.
Heading into the season with only Wood and Origi as backup for Mr Glass was gross negligence, whoever decided that was a good idea should be feeling some pressure.

Stirring words from a very clever bloke.
If I were a part of the forest media team, I would clip the audio of "you'll have to drag me out of this place"and insert into the pre-match video at the ground after Cloughies "I hope nobody is stupid enough to write us off" line.

That's how you would get the ground bouncing right from the off.

I've got a horrendous hangover & was close to having tear in my eye just thinking of that 😂

Divoc is actually Covid spelt backwards and the Everton fans are shit scared of him scoring against them yet again. If ever there was a match for him to come on in the last 20 mins or so, this is it.

He was apparently a choice ahead of Batsushiyi, (who I personally rate much higher).
I'm not convinced

He has never really been a prolific scorer, though I guess some people may well remember him scoring a hattrick against us for Chelsea in the league cup in 2017. But he never really hit the net often until he went to Fener and Besiktas where he's been roughly 1 in 2.

Not sure he would be PL standard but it's perhaps a bit closer whether he is a better option than Origi.

Nevertheless, I do think it's likely the club had other striker options whom they wanted ahead of Origi, and perhaps ultimately decided they needed the numbers, Batshuiyi may well have been someone who they tried but the club didn't accept the valuation or the player didn't want to come.

You may well be right, and as for the player all I'm going off is what I've seen of them - I've seen Origi score a few but never look a player, while I've enjoyed watching Batsushiyi, more so in his younger days.

Could well be that neither would have fit, and hopefully the ship has sailed now in that we are looking at a different level of target.

Not really. But you must surely see that Cooper is a master of the media side of the game and self-PR? That's not a criticism either by the way.

I don't doubt the sincerity of his words but it'd be naive to not think Cooper knows exactly what he's doing. He knows he's under pressure and needs a result tomorrow. He's also probably aware that the CG atmosphere has been flat as a pancake at times this season and we (he) need it rocking tomorrow. And I dare say he knows that if it wasnt for fan support last season he'd have probably been sacked. Saying something like this reignites that support for him and reaffirms to the decision-makers that the fans are very much behind him.

Like I said, he's a clever bloke and fair play to him.

I don't think anyone thought it was a good idea to have them 2 as back up but strikers are the hardest to sign because no club wants to let a decent striker leave.
I'm still thinking Sam surridge would have been a better back up than both of them because of his age.

How would you know what the atmosphere has been like?
I’ve only managed to get a ticket against Burnley so far. At no point was atmosphere flat as a pancake 😂

I think what you’re suggesting is that it could be bettered? But that mate is also bolllox because supporters ride the ebbs and flows of the game just like the players do. If you want to see relentless encouragement and support then buckle up.. you’re supporting the right team.

You seem to be associating Omar's shit, uninformed comment with me. I happen to agree with you.

Got a request for us more world experienced ( Hate saying older ) people.

I'm a 70's kid ( 73 ) and my real first experience of our club was the Euro win.
Not the game but the celebrations in Nottingham. I've got stories.

My real love for our club was during the Clough relegation season. I liked our club but I became a fan ( Fanatic ) that season.

I've experienced some wonderful fan noise home and away.
Anfield in the 80's was incredible because objectively they were the best fans I had witnessed up until 2 years ago. And yes I don't like Liverpool!!!
Our win at Wembley - I've never heard a louder sound at a football game but the sound levels at our games from about the 4th week in to SC tenure have just got f***ing louder and louder. Admittedly currently living in Wales ( Cardiff ) I dont get the week to week experience.

I just really want to know for those who are older than me, in their mid to late 50's and 60's and 70's, 80's: is this the loudest our club has been?

I’ve been going to the City Ground since 1966 and I agree with Rocka-the current atmosphere
since we returned to the top flight is the best I can remember.

Away games when watching on tv you can hear the forest fans louder than the home fans.
And most players and fans who come to the city ground mention the atmosphere.
When we beat arsenal last year to secure safety it was electric in there
