In fairness, Arter is reportedly helping with coaching.Top interview with Cooky. Love his attitude to dropping out of the 25 in Jan by just knuckling down so he gets a move in the summer, being a good influence around the place and helping training the u15s.
I wonder if Jonjo Shelvey/Harry Arter are doing the same...
Oh really? I hadn't read that. Where has it been reported? In fairness, Arter is reportedly helping with coaching.
Shelvey is busy re-watching his Newcastle highlights video.
The Times (but it's behind a paywall).Oh really? I hadn't read that. Where has it been reported?
Savage is a twat. Ainsworth is just different. He’s not a twat though. Showed incredible loyal sticking with Wycombe all that time.Ainsworth is like a discount Robbie Savage, if such a thing is even possible
I assumed he was referring to Murphy when Cook said some people weren't happy within the club with his signing.I was really sceptical about his signing, it just didn't seem to fit the new Dane Murphy MO and he came in at a time Forest were progressing up the league and looking good value for top six. Seemed a bit unnecessary even if he was going to be an obvious upgrade on Figgy who was the weak link in that tab up to that point.
But credit to Cook he proved me wrong. Absolutely what we needed at that time and it made us the complete package. Don't think we ever looked back, best team in the league by a mile thereafter.
I listened to that last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. What decent and nice chap Cook is .Nice interview on the Garibaldi Red podcast
Great call by Cooper and those that supported his signing of this fella. Top performer at Championship level, leader on and off the pitch and more than happy to wind up Derby and Udders fans. We never looked back from the moment he arrived and that pen against the Blunts will be an iconic Forest image for eve r more
He wasn’t here for a long time but he was certainly here for a good time
Yes, a lot of clubs do it following the work of Geir Jordet, a sports psychology researcher who has completely deconstructed the penalty shootout. Worth following up if you're interested.Just listened to the interview, really enjoyed it and seem a good fella. Interesting to hear his views on semi-final against Sheff utd and how we were so prepared for peno’s and it seemed every angle had been thought about by coaches to give us extra psychological edge and he gave an example that players knew where to all stand and be nearer the peno box and be on front of utd. In contrast he thought Sheff utd were scrambling around to decide who was raking pens etc. I suppose another example was Samba water bottle and we know how that ended! Just shows quality of Cooper and coaching staff.
