A true forest legend, that goal will always live in the memory of a 13 year old lad growing up and being so fortunate watching the best forest side in our history. I was at the game against saints when he did his achillies, ruined a great player. RIP trev

To those of us who were lucky enough to be there that balmy summer's night Trevor will always hold a special part in our hearts.
His name will always stand proud in our long glorious history.

A short statement released on behalf of his family this morning by former controller of sport at Central TV Gary Newbon, reads, "Trevor Francis has died at the age of 69.

"He had a heart attack at his apartment in Spain this morning.

"On behalf of the family, this has come as a huge shock to everybody.

"We are all very upset.

"He was a legendary footballer but he was also an extremely nice person."

I am sure for all of us who were around that the time, Trevor's Munich goal is the single most important football event of our lives. More so than the 1966 WCF for me. God bless you Trevor.
