New season always means to me, I'm willing to wipe the slate clean, good and bad with players and start afresh. It's not about what you've done, it's about what you can do and do for the club.
Except Jonjo Shelvey, he can f*** off. We give him the opportunity to play regular football again and he has such a shite attitude, at a time when we needed players to stand up and be counted. I can accept a player that isn't quite good enough but I f***ing loathe ones that down tools and don't give a shit.
The best thing he's ever done at the club was getting sent off, playing for Newcastle. Say what you want for Henri Lansbury but he's a hero in my eyes for that.

We don’t have an obligation to train him with the first team. Plenty of clubs have reduced players to training alone or with the kids

He will have an expectation to get a full preseason under his belt, especially if hes expected to move on.
He won't get that that with the kids or alone.

I watched that game in Gateshead
His expectation is very different to a contractual obligation. In the same way we told him not to bother at the back end of last season.
Regardless it appears he is so my only hope is he is training to get him fit enough to move on or if not he knuckles down double time to prove his worth

Probably because Newcastle didn't want to loan him out I'm assuming. Get why we bought him and wood both we were short on numbers and thought we were getting prem ready players that would strengthen the team. Wood last game with us was the one before awoniyi came back, makes me think he was playing through an injury may still come good here.

Only good news from D Taylor’s article was that he joined us on a free. I’d seen some horrifying reports of a fee up to 6m being paid.
