Everton don't know either, he has been injured for the vast part of the season.

All this "we shoulda signed". I'm sure Forest wanted Garner but ManU weren't playing ball and Forest couldn't really wait around for something which may have never happened.

Zinks would have been a failure IMHO. Was really inconsistent in the Championship and we've seen how big the step us has been.

Djed was a disappointment, because I think he would have been better than Neco. But, he didn't want to stay here, end of story.

Villa's valuation of Davis is disappointing, I think he could have done a job for us, just not for £15m.

This is a spot on summary, and why these three/four don't need to keep on being discussed over and over :)

(People thinking Zinc would somehow make any difference is particularly weird, loved his hard work last season but he is not a premier league player)

The closest replacement for Zinc we've got is Jesse Lingard. £100k per week for zero league goals or assists, and an inconsistent level of availability throughout the season.

Zincs may not be Premier League standard but I'd argue we've got plenty of new signings that aren't either.

Forest may as well have paid me £100k a week instead, as I too could absolutely guarantee zero goals and zero assists over a season!

But that is with the wisdom of hindsight.
At the time nobody thought that.

On showing, neither is Lingard. But one seemed to link up the midfield and attack while the other runs around a bit and makes tiktoks when he's not injured.

It's not pining for ex-players, just acknowledging that some of the "upgrades" we've bought this season have not took us any further than those players we had last season probably would have.

Just for the record, Laryea came on as a sub last night (against Honduras) and once again looked good. WE beat Honduras 4-1 and it is probably the best I've seen Canada play. This Ismael Kone kid was immense last night and Watford have a real gem. He's 20.

How did he plays as part of a back 3 for wales?
He didn't get hooked.

But are Latvia a good test for Neco in a back 3?

But does show that Page also trusts him.

Genuinely dreadful. He got mugged off about ten times, he got worse as the game went along. Leeds were so wasteful but so much of their threat came down that side.

I’ve noticed whenever he plays he’s like watching and amateur playing, everything seems so panicked and rushed. He doesn’t even seem to be able to strike the ball properly. He had a shot late second half on his left foot and it was so poor it was as if he’d never seen a football before. Absolutely laughable we spent nearly £20m on this f***er. I’m so appalled he picks up the wage he does. Shameful.

I don't remember lingard doing anything to justify being the big signing.

I feel sorry for Neco tbh. It's not his fault that someone in our transfer committee decided he was good enough for the Premiership. He is woefully short but it's not his fault. We got well and truly mugged by Klopp.

Worst thing, he hasn’t improved at all, all season. He seems to be going backwards. Which is worse.

He’s a young lad but currently looks a million miles away from PL standard. I can’t imagine Fin Back would have been any worse.

The price we’ve paid isn’t his fault - that lies with the club.

The worst part for me is I could almost forgive the haphazard defending if he was linking with Johnson well or looking like a creative source from deep but at the moment not only is the defending non existent he also offers nothing going forward.

I have a feeling this was a Dane signing and Cooper quickly sussed out he wasn't up to the level, hence the Aurier signing. It's a shame Biancone did his ACL, as surely he can't be worse than Neco.

We have wasted an absolute fortune on players that have taken us backwards from even last season -
Shelvey £10m
Wood £15m
Williams £17.5m
Dennis £15m
O'brien/Toffolo £10m

That is £57.5 million pounds wasted, imagine that was invested properly on 2 or 3 quality players instead of hoarding shit, I think we would be in a much more comfortable league position.

Shelvey was a free wasn't he?

LOB/Toffolo wasn't money wasted, both still have parts to play at the club for a long time yet in my opinion.

Did we pay £10m for Shelvey? I can't remember ever seeing a fee mentioned but could be wrong.

If we did then Agent Charnley has done us even dirtier than I thought.

My issue with him is you can spot in the first 5 mins when he is going to get run ragged in a game.

Newcastle on the opening day, West Ham a couple of weeks ago, last night.

For me, we have to do more to protect him when it's plainly obvious it's going to be a problem.

We really needed both Lodi & Aurier in these past 2 games, they are such a vast improvment - especially as we have generally looked very good in central defence recently - as Felipe is doing his Prime Sergio Ramos impression most games.
