I have always had faith in this lad, having seem him play in the flesh. When Forest were mooted as being interested, I was ecstatic, as I thought he would be a good fit for the team under Steve Cooper and would bag more goals than perhaps Keinan Davis.

I am delighted he has now put his name down in Forest history, winning the game for the team against the scousers.

Get in there Taiwo. I will raise a Weißbier to you tonight.

I think we know he's good at running the channels, and know he's an awkward customer to deal with but his hold up play was good today too (the little bits and pieces he did).

Combine those with being in the right place at the right time and we have a bit of a cult hero. Good on you Taiwo.

Joe Gomez was given man of the match after marking Haaland when Liverpool played City and he looked like he was having an awful time out there marking Taiwo
Yes and when he held him back proved he feared him. Should have been a red card as Dickhead Van Dyke wouldn’t have caught him.

Absolute fair play to the lad today …. I’ve not been impressed by his hold up play before now but today he was always “showing for it”, held the ball well, was a right handful for the Liverpool defence and of course scored the all important winner.
Well played young man - keep it up please! 👏👏👏👍

He's gonna become a very good and important player.

He's got a great attitude and has also been a bit unlucky not to get more minutes in my opinion. Made up for him.

Bet Awoniyi is a nightmare to play against. I really like him, and hope to see him with Dennis and BJ one day, which I think would be an incredibly unpredictable/difficult front three to play against, if we could be firm enough behind them.

Can’t argue with that. Make him first choice number 9 for every match, consistency in team selection will help those front 3 gel quicker and start to make us a real threat in attack.

He smiled and enjoyed his goal a little bit too much for my liking. The job wasn't done, he should have been fully focused as soon as he put the ball in the net.
He smiles when he misses, im sure its like a permanent grin, like he smiled one day and the wind changed direction.

Anyway, if thats the only fault you can pick with him then I'm sure he'd be delighted :ROFLMAO:

Watching the replay of his goal shows how good he is. That ball came off the post and he reacted and knew where to place the ball so a world class keeper couldn’t stand a chance. He knew inch perfect where to place that ball.
