I disagree. This is just the media team doing their job. They are just putting content out based on what was said last night.

They put it out at 1.30pm

It wouldn't have gone out of he'd been sacked.

I keep hearing this but he was with Hughton for the first part of the season when we couldn't win for toffee as well.
As soon as Houghton was sacked and he took charge he got the first win of the season. Also the players were there under Houghton, that's not a relevant point in my eyes anyway.

The difficult thing for me is that thinking about it, it doesn't really feel like Steve's fault but he will be the one that is held responsible for it. To a degree, he selects the team and he's been a little naive with tactics but I look at the Everton/Fulham/Bournemouth games and think, that wasn't Cooper's fault.

Everton, it was an individual mistake by Worrall that let Gray in to equalise.
Bournemouth, we were two up at half time and I saw them f***ing players patting each other on the back and grinning like the game was won, we should have won that.
Fulham, again we were in a winning position but there was a mental fragility there where as soon as they equalised, you knew we would fall apart but we did have a late flurry and if Awoniyi had of buried that header it would have been a draw.
Hell, you look at last night. If Awoniyi scores, then do Leicester have the confidence to go on and win 4-0. If Lingard doesn't stupidly give the ball away, they don't get the first goal.

Those three games, we're talking about an 8 point difference and we'd have been 7th. We'd have said Steve Cooper is doing a fantastic job and needs his new contract.

I am a Cooper fan but he must be able to see his selections are not working, Williams, Lingard, and Johnson need a seat on the subs bench if they are lucky. The defensive pairing of Cook and McKenna are to slow, I expect Cook must be near a suspension anyway.
Aurier , Yates, Mangala and Frueler must start against Villa, I would also give Sam a chance .

Agree, I'd like to see Dennis start too, and play him where he enjoys his football out on the left side cutting in, he also delivered a great ball in last night, Sam Surridge or Awoniyi and maybe keep Brennan but again play him in his favourite position out wide right where he can cause some damage and he enjoys playing too

As a former Forest manager once said; fine margins. 7-9 points from Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham and the mood would be so much different.

For me, all those instances come down to the team not having gelled and a lack of confidence once we concede. There's not a lot else Cooper could have done really IMO. These things are going to take time, no matter who is in the dugout.

If we play a three of Dennis - Awoniyi or Surridge - Johnson we then have little space for MGW and I don't see any occasion where Coops drops both him and Lingard.

People tagging/direct messaging Evangelos’ son on Twitter are so cringey.

I’m sure he’s going to change his mind ‘cause 12 follower Susan sent him a message saying please don’t sack Steve.

I won’t go into people tagging him in stuff calling him an idiot when 2 months ago people were kissing his arse with how much cash we’d spent.

Wouldnt mind this being worked on for the Villa game.

CBs is a lottery with players playing themselves out the side, but assuming Niakhete is still crocked.

I’d be happy with that. Just goes to show how much money has been wasted..

If anybody really knows what went on during the transfer window, I wish they would tell me, giving chapter and verse, not just some vague 'suspicion' regarding the activities of the transfer panel.

I'm as bad as anyone in criticising the coach and other members of the club, but some of the reasons given for not selecting player A or any others is quite frankly daft. If the players he selects are not cutting the mustard, he'd be silly not to pick player A simply because he didn't want him. He might just be the answer to a maiden's prayer.

This is a decent line up, but lacks creativity in midfield. Perhaps endeavour can make up for that?

Yes looks ok.

Isn’t it striking though that you’ve got expensive attacking stars Lingard, MGW, Freuler, Awoniyi, even Lodi all missing out, but a central defence that looks very Championship indeed

Spending all that money, we should have made damn sure we had a really good central defence.
