Yep. Definitely.Do Mbe Soh and Williams definitely class as U21 as they're not from our academy? I thought that was the case but may just be for European competition where UEFA put a distinction between the two?

Both, in a sense. We don't need a striker and we don't need a no 8, Lyle Taylor is, in my opinion not good enough for us just as he was not good enough for you (even in the Championship), and Cafu did not make it last time he was here.Ah, interesting. Why not Taylor or Cafu? Just because Oly have no vacancies for those types of players? Or are they just not good enough for Oly?

So far, 4-2-3-1 exclusively. What formation do you play GBG? Corberan is a 3-5-2 man if I remember correctly. For what it’s worth, Taylor is much better in a two than as a lone striker.

Think our wingbacks are too important for that. Be interesting to see what Lodi offers today in a game where we expect more (some!) of the ball.Feels like we need a solid 4-2-3-1 option - if we had the confidence to play a 4 against Spurs for example the 3 of MGW / Lingz / Johnson would have has a focal point
I agree. Taylor is much maligned, but for me another example of a player that didn't and couldn't fit the system...I always felt he was a bloody good finisher but his all round game was a bit rough and unsophisticated. Alongside the right partner I can easily see how he consistently got decent goal returns elsewhere. What formation do you play GBG? Corberan is a 3-5-2 man if I remember correctly. Probably too expensive although you'd think we'd be happy to cover the majority of his wages just to get him gone.Bit surprised no one came in for Lyle before the window closed. Proven at Charlton and Birmingham that he's a capable player at Championship level in the right team.
The big clubs who thought a way round signing young foreign prospects that they could sign, loan out for endless seasons in case they became good enough to play for them, then name as 'homegrown' in the Premier League and European competitions.Hang on, they’re counting Awoniyi as ‘Home Grown’ even though he was born in (and represents) Nigeria but Scott McKenna (Scottish) is classed as foreign. Who thought up these rules again?!

To be fair, he's lived in Nottingham since he was 3. It’s not like we bought his mum and dad a house to come over here when he was 16.He was developed by a club in the English system.
McKenna wasn't.
Daft as it may seem but it also means we can class Alex Mighten as home grown.
Aren’t Mighten’s family British though regardless? I thought they moved temporarily to the US for his dad’s job and he was born there but they moved back when the contract was over? (So he’s dual nationality? Might be wrong). He was developed by a club in the English system.

There is no nationality test for homegrown. To be classified as homegrown a player must be on an English (system*) team for at least three years before the age of twenty-one.
* Welsh teams like Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham etc count as being in the English system.
It's difficult because obviously the club are keeping this kind of stuff reasonably quiet - but if Richards was considered "close enough" to be worth using a spot in September (ahead of presumably Cafu), then I'm vaguely hopeful that he's still got something to contribute this season even if it's taking a month or two longer than expected.Bade has gone, and we expect Dennis too. Biancone is out for the season. I'm not expecting to see Richards this season either. Other injuries expected back before end of season. Lingard out for a month, Kouyate 10-12 weeks, Niakhate "Not far off"
Take out Bade/Dennis/Biancone/Richards. Scarpa is in. Leaves another 3 spaces.
Not sure what the benefit would be. It's not like we need the place for someone else, and even without injuries he'll at least sit on the bench against Man Utd again. Can we take Smith out?
He's never going to play, and even if we had an injury crisis which meant we had no registered keepers, can't we get emergency one anyway?
Yes, we can sign a keeper on an emergency loan outside of the window. Can we take Smith out?
