It's Craig Pawson what did people expect. One of the worse Prem refs and was pretty crap in the Championship too.
Every 50/50 went Spurs way which was getting on my tits until he didn't send Cook off.
Cook got a yellow.I don’t get that either. Did Cook get booked at all?
It’s either a penalty and at least a booking or not a penalty. Bemused by it.
And the Lino on the Peter Taylor stand needs to learn to use his left arm, and also make a decision without the referee. There was a ball that was a good 6 inches out of play that he let continue play with and then flags for a throw when the ball wasn’t out of play. Guess what colour the team were wearing that got the benefit of those 2 decisions in particular..
Also 2 corners we should have had that were given as goal kicks.
Admittedly from the other end of the pitch, but it looked like a foul on Williams by Richarlison for their 2nd. I can’t understand why that wasn’t referred to VAR?
Cook got a yellow.
No double jeopardy any more if it isn‘t clearly denying a goalscoring chance; just a yellow card and the penalty.Thanks. Didn’t see that .
Any explanation as to why just a yellow ?
How is it a daft thing?Looked like a goalscoring opportunity to me.
f***ing daft thing to do.
Last minute, stopping a certain goal for a penalty that may be missed? Score the goal you don't win.Personally I would never advocate getting sent off to prevent a possible goal.
Conceding and still having 11 men is a better scenario than conceding and having 10 men.
That was a certain goal and last minute, dying seconds… yes, as horrible as what Suarez did was, it made a difference.Last minute, stopping a certain goal for a penalty that may be missed? Score the goal you don't win.
Look at Suarez in the world cup his cheating got Uruguay to a semi final rather than the plane home.
Waste time and it's a booking now (for a non top 6 team) hence the multi-ball system.I am not a huge Pawson fan, but I think he reffed a good game today. We have no good reason to complain about any of our bookings. We deserved every last one of them. I don't think Spurs did anything over the top in terms of the so called "dark arts". Any team with half a brain will try and waste time if they have a slender lead. And yes, we do this shit too, just like everyone else. You can't just keep blaming the ref guys. It's empty rhetoric much of the time. Concerning Cook, the ball wasn't going to go in, hence a yellow card. Real stupid maneuver by Mr. Cook, that one.
Kane also clearly pushed Yates when challenging for a header in their box. Both hands on his back, clear as daylight. Little things. It looked like Kane had got hold of Steve Cook as the cross came across. It looked like the ball was too high for Kane to make contact on.

The last comment is spot on. I've been having that running debate with coaches for my entire reffing career. It's not like I ever expect someone to rush a restart unless they see an opportunity because someone is asleep/out of position.Pawson was literally stood behind their centre back and watched him tap the ball about 10cm instead of giving it to the keeper. Then just walked away. After visibly warning them 2 or 3 times in the first half. It’s fine if every team is afforded those allowances.
They took 30 seconds to take one kick. Henderson was booked after about 20 seconds against West Ham, they were taking the same time in the first half on kicks and throw ins.
Time wasting is a bit of a myth anyway. If you actually time how long the kicks and throws take there’s little difference between the start of the game and the end when a team is winning.
Say that to Brice Samba, he'd take the ball from the left, to the right spot it three times take it back to the left and then pass it to McKenna.Pawson was literally stood behind their centre back and watched him tap the ball about 10cm instead of giving it to the keeper.
