After all this, he’d better stay fit and he’d better be good.
I think the worst thing about the MGW saga (besides this cursed thread) is that it is making us look a bit desperate and lacking a plan B. There's no wonder Wolves are trying to rinse us for every penny, and who can blame them? We are long past the point where we should have moved onto an alternative target.
He's not a proven Premier League player at the end of the day, he could just as easily become the next Rhian Brewster as he could be a success. There are other talented but equally unproven players out there in other leagues that might make the step up, are easier to acquire and far less risky financially. Time for the club to end its fixation with MGW.
Hmm I believe the club are more than capable of having conversations with several clubs / agents / players at the same time - you can rest easy in your bed..Norwegian papers now linking Berge with a move to Club Brugge for less than £20 million. I am a bit worried that our interest in MGW has prevented us from pursuing other more affordable targets.
Be rest assured, Forest will have a report on Berge, they'll know his KPI and Cooper and the team will have a view on whether they want him, or not. A quick phone call to his agent and the the deal is live. Given how many players we have been linked with, I can't believe this has slipped through the net. I just don't think Cooper wants him.Norwegian papers now linking Berge with a move to Club Brugge for less than £20 million. I’m seeing a fixation in amplifying everything to be world ending, and a guarantor of immediate relegation, do not Pass Go and Do Not Collect £200.Only fixation I can observe is our fan’s obsession with running the clubs financial affairs.
It's not desperate, and each bid shows the love for MGW and unsettles him a bit more each time. The problem is the add ons. Forest need to up their original offer to £30-£35m if they want him. If those bids are rejected then quite simply he's staying put.How is it making us look desperate!? Forest’s pursuits of MGW is a news story, so it gets amplified. You’ve not a clue what’s going on behind the scenes and the clubs progress on other targets.

Not that I would want this .. but after 23 years of waiting I'd take a yo-yo year or two to put a long term plan in place and build a squad that is more ready to compete than perhaps this one is without the loansI’m seeing a fixation in amplifying everything to be world ending, and a guarantor of immediate relegation, do not Pass Go and Do Not Collect £200.
Cooper should make it £999,999,999 to ease the pressure on him.I'm told we've upped our offer.
We're going to make Gibbs White the first £1bn player.
No way to tell if that's a good deal or not as we're just fans and can't judge whether price of a transfer is too high or too low.I'm told we've upped our offer.

Wolves would still reject it.I'm told we've upped our offer.

And sell Arter for £12m to them.At this point, „Big“ Evangelos should pull a Football Manager move, and just buy Wolves entirely, and release MGW on a „Free“ to Forest.
I'm not so sure - their squad is pretty thin as well.Wolves have just signed goncalo guedes who is essentially a winger/second striker seems like it may pave the way for us to sign gibbs white
No worries there mate, translated his name is João António Antunes CarvalhoAfter all this, he’d better stay fit and he’d better be good.
He looked decent but to be fair Wolves have a Portuguese base through connections with Mendes, he will be the 10th in the squad which is more than most Portugese teams have!Guedes played us in the friendly, didn't he? We can't have been too impressed.
It is pretty thin, how I see it wolves don't seem as much as a priority to the owner as they were earlier. There was talk of neves being sold earlier and ownership seems to swaying on them being self sufficient.I'm not so sure - their squad is pretty thin as well.

Just my opinion mate, and I'm far from the only one (both within the Forest fanbase and outside of it) who sees it that way. Its clear that we are willing to pay far above market value for him, when other clubs (including Everton; a club that has given FFP the middle finger this summer) have walked away (and rightfully so).How is it making us look desperate!? And the financial side of things should be a concern; it's our club, and reckless spending can lead to huge problems down the line, particularly with FFP in the Championship if we go down. Some of us just simply don't think that a player with one decent season in the Championship under his belt is a player worth this kind of risk.
