I just noticed something when looking at him on transfermarkt - despite starting he didn’t complete 90 minutes until the last match of the season!

Any context for this? Did he work hard cos he didn’t have much support? (He played as a 2 in a 3-5-2 though). Does he go high intensity that he can’t maintain for 90? Is it his sides tactics? Did they have a good option off the bench they liked to use late in games?

A lot of goals come late on in matches so wondering if not doing 90 mins is something likely for us too.
It’s commonly the way 1.FC Union play.

Swiss coach Urs Fischer preaches a high-energy pressing game, where every man has a role in the scheme, and there is no room for passengers.

His Team work hard, very, very hard pressing and harrying the opposition, and that starts from the front. He likes proper athletes and often makes good use of his bench.

Tbf Cooper also didn't really let our strikers do 90mins. Davis would almost always come off for Surridge at somepoint. I think Surridge only got a few 90minutes runs because we had injuries.

Oh and on the pronunciation of his name, in the Bundesliga, it’s always been „Ah-won-eee“ and that’s how he’s been announced pre-Match also.

The other point is, will he get the Number Nine or Number Ten shirt?

If we get him I will streak naked down my street whilst drinking champagne.

Blinkin needs to get his (or her!?) pants off and provide photographic evidence of this.

Blah blah another lad I’ve seen in the flesh and and he’s bloody good blah blah.

f*** that, he is. He’s a monster, pretty much a goal every other game striker. He’s frankly better than Union Berlin (with great respect to Die Eisernen).

I cannot even believe Forest could pull this off. If they could, well…

And I need to have more faith in NFFC.

With 5 subs now it will be very rare for any striker to complete 90.

That he has been subbed off so much probably makes his goal record even more impressive.

I'm thinking he may want to stick with number 14.

Considering Awoniyi is our record signing, Laryea might give his number up and may head out on loan anyway.

I like it. Changing it to the master in 2 years after he bags 23 goals in season 1 and 35 goals in season 2

If he will do these numbers you should call him The Scholar

I’ve got a feeling this lad will be the real deal and do very well for us. 5 year deal is great for us too.

He looks quite small compared to Peter Crouch, his agent.
