I set them up as soon as they were released this morning, but it then took about two hours before they actually showed up (iOS though, but the functionality should be the same on Android).
Cheers, Chris. I just checked again and they're there now. Much appreciated.

Ancient rule in the UK from the 60/70's brought about by the then Burnley chairman who said no games should be shown live at 3pm as it will mean supports won't go to the games.

This was fine 50 years ago but it's 2022 now and Football in the UK is the ONLY place where this happens why should someone who lives in the US be able to watch us live but someone who lives in Nottingham can't? Makes Zero sense.

I am surprised Sky haven't set up their own streaming service like the NFL that show ALL games live and you can pick which game you want to watch. We seem a bit behind.
There was talk a while back of the 3pm blackout rule being changed.

It really makes no sense in the case of people who can't go to the match anyway, not going to affect revenue from them, is it? If anything it'll increase as they have unlimited match pass sales as well as the 30k or whatever they can sell tix to.

Well we know the matches Sky and BT are messing around with over the first weekend but when do they announce the rest of August.
I want to book a few days away but don't really want to miss any games.

, Seaburn is a Sunderland area we’d be celebrities, if your feeling game then a few in Dunston ( at the fed brewery) or in the strawberry outside the Gallowgate end would light the touch paper we’d be strung up especially with my accent

I had the pleasure of whatcha gonna Ruud Guillet’s first game in charge in the strawberry when they got docked by Liverpool

You could hear my smirk.

I think Newcastle was out last away game on the prem

Is Forest TV able to function like it did last season, or does it all change now we’re in the Premier League ? Really worked well for an international fan.

Newcastle fan here,

First off, what a job Cooper's done. Rock bottom to promoted is some going. More points than anyone else in the Championship since then. What's the expectations for this season? Apart from Henderson have you signed anyone?

If you need any recommendations for beers, beds or bhunas let me know.

There aren't any "away" pubs because as long as you don't act the arsehole you'll be fine in all of them. Obviously the Strawberry will be heaving on matchday and the tolerance levels in there are lower than elsewhere.

If you're driving up I'd recommend parking at the Metro Centre and getting a short train in. Free, safe parking, just off the A1 and saves the hassle of paying for parking in the city centre.

Right:
Who gets the undoubted honour of establishing the first matchday thread for the Newcastle (A) game?
I'm buzzing with excitement.
The Mrs is buzzing, but that's because of the remote control I have over her love eggs.

Double post here: which fixture will be the first to be moved from the convenience and custom of a 3:p00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, and on what date will that be made public by the Prem/SKY, and to what date/time will it be moved?
My guesses are:
First fixture to be moved: Newcastle (A);
Date on Publication of change: 30th July 2022
Rearranged Date: Friday 4th August 2022, K.O.at 20:00.

Cheers mate. You’re welcome back when the match thread is up and running

My nephew just texted me. He's a happy guy. His wife just got him some tickets for the opener with Newcastle. He's a Forest fan but he has Newcastle as a distant second team as he lives up there. He'll be in with the Newcastle fans though, sadly for him. He'll be screaming Forest on though... silently inside, like. :D

As the person who started the Matchday Thread against Huddersfield, back in September, I'd love to have a crack at the Premier League.

Not your significant others love eggs. I wouldn't dare.

In the fine traditions of „Winner stays on“, that would be me.

Anyone have a crystal ball or hunch?
Have a ticket for Everton away (8.20) but wondering what the chances are of it being moved (day or time)?

Flight booking concerns etc.

I thought opening weekend TV fixtures had already been decided, or have I misunderstood something?

Sky have already picked their live games for the 1st round of matches. Not sure if BT/Amazon get to choose any too.

BT have picked Fulham v Liverpool as their opening day fixture. Amazon are showing all the Boxing Day matches and all the matches from a midweek in October.

Just seen the EFL fixtures have been released. I was about a minute into checking them before I remembered THAT WE DON'T CARE.

Then I looked through the Championship fixtures to see who Derby played first. Then I remembered they don't need to know that.

This is a reply to anyone who uses this forum. I think i am seriously ill with forest sickness. I find myself looking at this forum 2 or even 3 times a day, and whatching forest vids countles times a day. looking for signings and goings. when i have finishes this blog. I bet I will watch the best goal ever,
Collin Barrets goal against Liverpool in the European cup. Is there any cure for this sickness, Or won't it go away till the Newcastle game....Must have a G&T to calm down the jitters.
