Joe Worrall is right up there for being one of our most 'creative' players this season, with 4 assists so far this season.

So he certainly tries to make things happen as much as anyone.

Assists total:

1. Ameobi = 8 assists
2. Lolley = 7 assists
3. Cash = 5 assists
4. Worrall = 4 assists
4. Silva = 4 assists
4. Watson = 4 assists
5. Grabban = 2 assists
5. Ribeiro = 2 assists
6. Carvalho = 1 assist
6. Bostock = 1 assist
6. Sow = 1 assist

I wouldn't say it's overly surprising to be honest, the majority of our play comes down the flanks compared to the centre and a sizable % of the goals this season have come from crosses, corners or wide positions. In fact I'd guess that 2 or 3 of those Silva assists are from corners.

Amazing that Bostock and Carvalho have provided more assists than Diakhaby and Semedo.

I'm assuming those assist are from transfrmarkt or similar, cos the 'official' websites often get it slightly wrong. I remember one game Sky awarded and assist to someone who didn't even make the final pass.

Lolley - 9
Ameobi - 8
Silva - 7
Cash - 6
Worrall - 4
Watson - 4
Ribeiro - 3
Carvalho - 2
Sow - 2
Grabban - 2
Yates - 1
Adomah - 1
Ameobi - 1
Mir - 1
Robinson - 1
Bogle - 1

Does make me chuckle how folk speculate that MON would have us playing a far less creative style of football, when the only player who he signed is our most creative one this season.

Maybe the owners should have stuck with him then Alf.

I guess we'll never know Otis, I just like to see good people who do good things for us credited.

Same as Yates, he clearly spotted what Yates could grow into, and that's coming to fruition now. People say his plan wasn't all there, but I think his plan was to drop the flake that was Carva, and develop the likes of Yates for this season, so that when he signed the likes of Sammy etc. we were operating not too dissimilarity to how we are now.

I certainly think he'd have done as well as Sabri given the backing. But that shouldn't detract from what Sarbi has done.

I disagree with your penultimate sentence, but you make a good overall point nonetheless.

Needed a performance from him tonight against a decent Swansea attack.

And boy did he deliver a performance.

Rock solid.

Yes he was back to his best. He was a little shaky in the aftermath of the Derby game it's nice to see its nice to see its out of his system now.
