God bless Bet365 :D

It's not the best one, though..
There was a tweet from OptaJoe at half time in the 1st game of the PL season about 3 years ago.
Man City were absolutely battering some hapless team, and OptaJoe's half-time tweet read:

Man City have had more shots on target in the 1st half of this game, than D***y County did in their entire 2007/8 season.

I still laugh thinking about that tweet even now! :D

Forest's 2017 FA Cup lasted 90 minutes with a 2-0 defeat at Wigan described as "woeful."

The performance, that is, not Wigan.

I think.

Nottingham Forest can confirm that the club have parted company with head coach Philippe Montanier.

The club has made the decision following a series of disappointing results this season and given the current position in the league table.

The search for a replacement manager will now begin. In the meantime, Gary Brazil will be handling first-team affairs.

Nottingham Forest would like to place on record its thanks to Philippe for his time working with the players and the staff and wish him the best for the future.

http://mobile.nottinghamforest.co.u...t-owner-chairman-fawaz-al-hasawi-3527680.aspx

Owner and chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has issued the following open letter to the supporters of Nottingham Forest.

Dear fans,

There have been lots of developments over the last week or so, and I feel it is my responsibility to reach out to you directly to assure you of my complete and utter commitment to Nottingham Forest, and securing its long-term position as a thriving and successful club – both on and off the pitch.

Nottingham Forest is one of the world’s oldest surviving teams. This is a legacy worth defending, and our priority should be to build on this unique heritage to protect the future of our club.

That positive future begins with stability. We are in the process of appointing a senior and experienced executive team to secure and improve the structure and leadership of the club – something I was unable to do during takeover talks.

I am therefore delighted to announce the appointment of Samantha Gordon to the role of Chief Financial Officer, who joins us following significant experience with Norwich City F.C. I look forward to working with her and will keep you informed of our progress in developing the executive team.

As you know, we are also in discussions over the appointment of our new manager. The club made the decision to part ways with Philippe Montanier last weekend, following a series of disappointing results. While I cannot comment on names, I can give every assurance that we will appoint the candidate with the experience and vision to maximise the squad’s talent and potential, and improve results.

Finally, I know that there have been a number of rumours circulating on the takeover talks over the last few days. Unfortunately I am not able to go into detail about those talks due to confidentiality restrictions; however I would like to publicly reiterate my dedication to the club and its fans. It is your fantastic and loyal support that drives us to improve, and it is crucial that your voices are heard. I am listening to you and will continue to put the interests of Nottingham Forest at the heart of every decision I make.

I’m sure you will join me in wishing the best of luck to The Reds ahead of this Saturday’s match against Bristol City led by our interim manager, Gary Brazil.

Fawaz

Interesting press release that does not give any details as to how much JJM actually offered.
It reminds me of the witches prophecies for MacBeth in Shakespeare'play.
PR at its best, making out JJM is such a good guy and how he was oh so reasonable.
The reality is probably somewhat different.

Another day, another statement from Fawaz.

http://mobile.nottinghamforest.co.u...forest-fawaz-al-hasawi-statement-3530276.aspx

Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has issued the following statement:

"I reject JMI’s statement as to why the talks fell apart. I cannot go into more detail about the content of the negotiations as a result of the confidentiality restrictions in place. But I want to assure fans I remain as devoted as ever to this great club. *

*

"Admittedly I am frustrated that we could not conclude a deal that would work in the interests of all involved, but I will not allow fans to be misled that the takeover fell through solely because of my actions.*

*

"All negotiations of this type are inherently complex. I have acted with integrity and in good faith throughout the negotiations and reject claims that I had no desire to complete a deal.

*

"I have made a significant investment into Nottingham Forest and now that the path has been cleared of any obstacles, we can focus again on improving the club’s position. I will continue to support the club as I have done from the first day I arrived, and work to build a better future.

*

"I thank the fans, staff and players for their continued support."
