Dougie Freedman must be a total idiot. It's obvious that Tyler Walker and Veldwijk are 10x better Akpom who has just signed a four year contract extension at the club where Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere ply their trade. He must be shit after playing alongside this cloggers 7 times in the Premier League.

I'm sorry but I pay my money for a matchday ticket so I can see exciting players in my team play good football, not to make a charitable contribution to the Lars Veldwijk's career development fund...

Correct, we cant keep spieling the bullshit about we are an attractive club to come to and all that caper. It's crap. It's false. It's utter downright lies.

All this loan deal does is enhance everybody else's interests except NFFC.

We have got a very highly rated player, who I believe renewed his contract earlier this year with(the tabloids say Hausa host of premier league and European clubs ready to sign him) on loan. There's no point in playing walker or the dutch chap if they're not ready for this level.

Looking at the highlights of the U21 game against Brizzle Walker scored two and set up the third. He looks a decent prospect but still has a long way to go. I would like to see him get some chances in preseason and that he stays in and around the squad.

Yea but it'll be Lars Veldwijk and Tyler Walker playing for your team next season, not Akpom, and you'll want them to be playing good football then, something that would be all the more likely if they got their chance now. The point is we need to realise where we are as a club now with this embargo and situation we're in and start making ourselves self sustainable and not always having to rely on signing players, sometimes fairly desperately, for short times, on big wages, and players who don't give a f*** about NFFC, aren't fit, aren't motivated and then clear off in next to no time (Ince and chalobah) are two previous examples of this. Barring a miracle we won't make the playoffs/get promoted this season, and it could all be over on Friday, so it would be better to just blood our own. This club needs to learn a lesson.

Much like the clamour for stability, I think we are in danger of allowing the embargo to interfere with our ambition. The conditions of the embargo will serve as lesson, furthermore if adhered to will put us on a better track financially. The embargo doesnt necessarily consign us to mid table mediocrity though, with the right loan additions we can still compete at the right end of the table. Nothing to suggest Akpom couldnt come back next year, nor anything to suggest we cant loan another striker, either way with a preferred system of one up top, Walker & Veldwyck will be 4th & 5th choice. Why do we have to concede another season to blood these players?. Gardner has proved what you can get out of a good loan player.

Our team fully fit is good enough for a top 6 finish, stuff loans. (Except gardner, of course)

Agreed, Gardner has been a good loan but that's only cos he was fit and had been on loan at brighton so knows the league and what it's all about and fitted right in to our club and system and has been here for a lot longer. But for every one of him there's loads of bad ones a la chalobah and Ince and I just don't want us to keep making expensive mistakes, particularly for short periods of time when it's unlikely they'll help us achieve anything and at the expense of our own players coming through. Barrow's barely featured so far either. Plus the likes of Fryatt and Blackstock may recover soon anyway. Akpom might turn out to be a good loan but he's gonna have to do something damn spectacular to get us in the playoffs. I suppose it's just a gamble by Freedman but this club has been gambling for far too long and it's not got us anywhere. Maybe we need to try a different approach without necessarily curtailing ambition

I'm getting bored of the whole charade really. I'd rather just see our own lads on the pitch, especially when the season is now almost certainly a dead rubber

If you don't care why are you weighing in on the debate?

Or do you think people want to know whether or not you care? (lol)

Why does 'going for it' have to equal signing players in this modern football world?

Why can't Veldwijk be played and hit a purple patch?

No wonder our losses count is so bad, you all wonder why. You all call on the owner to change the approach. When the going gets tough, you forget that.
Why can't Veldwijk? Because each time he has played he has looked nowhere near the standard required? Again, it goes back to do you trust DF? He is the one he see's him train everyday and play in the development squad, do you? Nothing can be for certain but I assume DF works on probability, who is more probable to bang in 6/7 goals from not till the end of the season, Lars who has been dogshit all year or Akpom who Arsenal believe are the business?

Yea exactly, and one player is not gonna make the difference between us doing anything with the rest of the season and not. I mean if we don't beat Wolves and then brentford it's basically over anyway then what's the point him being here? That's the point, we'd be better off playing our own players.
I bet you don't get invited to many parties do you? What a sad outlook on things. We might aswell not bother playing any of the remaining games. But how about this, if Akpom is as good as Arsenal seem to think he is, and he scores the winning goals against Wolves and Brentford, would you drop him to stick with Walker and Lars up to?

Do we manage with what we've got or do do we reach for the credit card ,,,,,, AGAIN
If he is being paid the full 10k a week, the top end we will dish out is 100k, about 1/270th of our FFP limit. Big, whoppie, f***ing, do.

So as I predicted nothing from Akpom, playoffs are over now, well they were anyway. Why did he even start? Done nothing to earn it, Blackstock was the man in possession and should have started, and scored within 5 mins of coming on. This loan is a complete waste of time and as I said we'd be better off playing our own, Dex, Walker, Veldwijk et al.
