Brennan Price Johnson

He's apparently doing very well off the bench for them but has been indifferent as a starter. Decent returns for the lad - nothing I wouldn't have expected from him... and he'll only get better.
I'd say it was always gonna be difficult for him to reach the consistency of a top 6 side with that move. According to spurs forum, he is living up to the hype, compared to how they were Around jan

If only it were that simple as keeping him.
We literally replaced him with Elanga who has made 12 goal contributions already despite a short spell out injured and having Origi picked ahead of him a few times. Johnson may well have done even better of course in his stead, but you can only pick eleven players.

Elanga for Johnson and £32m in the bank is about the only good thing the club has done this year.

We needed Elanga and Johnson and maybe not two keepers and a £35m midfielder or a loan striker on £100k a week.

I like Elanga a lot and he would 100% be in my starting XI but I dont think he is better than Johnson at all. But it would have been great to have a season with both.

I'd have loved Johnson for another year here, but it's one of those that made sense for all parties in the end. Not looking forward to seeing him this weekend mind...

Anyone get annoyed with the amount of abuse Johnson gets on social media. He’s representing the Forest Academy very well. Not even doing that bad 5 goals and 8 assists, if they ain’t happy then we should get him back on loan next season

I think he’s done ok there but I think they expect a bit more for £47.5M.
Elanga has lost it somehow since his injury and is a concern at the moment.
The idea of CHO on the left and BJ on the right could transform this team.

No, he doesn't represent us or our academy anymore. If you move to a top 6 club then you have to perform it's that simple.

He does.

He demonstrates that Forest have successfully coached a young talent through academy into first team and into a top six side.

He's the case study that we refer to when trying to tempt players to join our academy.

Love BJ but that was way too much for Spurs to pay for him. IMO Elanga is a better player, with a higher ceiling and is younger to boot.

He's a good little player, but nowhere near elite and it's unlikely he ever gets there IMO. He's not clinical enough to just be a pacey on the break kind of guy and he's not good enough technically to create opportunities from nothing regularly enough.

I think he ends up back starting for a bottom half side for half what Spurs paid for him within the next two years.

He'll probably end up loaned back here trying to discover that spark.

Elanga is better than Brennan? No way. Elanga has pace and little else. That in itself gets something but his passing ability is not good. Nor is his decision making. HE can certainly improve, but he should be putting in a ton of work on the training ground if he wants to hit the next level.

While I agree by way of eye test, they have identical returns this year, with Elanga playing in the relegation threatened side. It's closer than you think.

Initially, I thought Elanga was better!
However, Brennan has grown as a player since his move to Spuds.
Elanga seems to have diminished.

I'd love to see Brennan v Anthony in two foot races, one with the ball, one without. I reckon it's a draw - Brennan wins with the ball, Tony without.

I don't think there's much between the two. Certainly not £35m worth.

I wouldn’t say that Brennan is a stronger player than Elanga but the relationship he had with MGW was special. They just had an unspoken understanding.
