Wes Morgan does it AGAIN!!

Is it fair to say?  After what, two or three mistakes?

Don't get me wrong, I have doubts about Wes in general, but so far he's generally exceeded my expectations at the back.

People leap to conclusions mighty fast based on one or two lapses in performance.

2 or 3 mistakes that have cost us dearly though - we have only played 8 games so that is not such a great ratio.

He was not great last time we were here lest we forget, one of the few remaining from the relegation season if memory serves me correct.

My point was that I don't hold Wes soley responsible, I just do not think he is up to it - like many other players in our squad.

If you are going to take that attitude we might aswell replace the whole team, every single player has made costly mistakes.

Whether it be for missing a sitter or scoriong an own goal, it can be costly.

I find it funny how you didn't go to the game but can still criticize him and call him a clump, Unless you live next door to MJ!. I feel that the Radio doesn't give the best impression of the game. But it is a Forum and you can give your opinion.

I thought he was our best defender yesterday, or at least not our worst. He clears the ball when it needs to be cleared and doesn't f*** about at the back like wilson. He gets close to attackers unlike our full backs. I know he isn't the prettiest player in terms of football, but he gets the job done.

Having seen the goal on TV, even I can't really blame Wes.

The sending off seems a bit silly on his part considering he was on a yellow - but that's our season so far.

The opposition's view on Wes Morgan and the Forest defence...

talk about gamesmanship, probably the worst back four I have seen so far this season, and did nothing but foul our attacking players, and managed to get away with it most of the time (That challenge on Mackie in the box was awful how it wasn't a penalty I don't know) and then everytime they were shoulder to shoulder with an Argyle player the fell over and managed to win freekicks for nothing half the time, absolute joke they were and if that is what Forest are relying on to stop teams scoring goals, then I fear for Forest that they will go the same way they did the last time they were in the league, not the way most of their fans think they'll go

I love watching their number 5 Wes Morgan play against Argyle. The last time, at the City Ground he was all over the place as Dexter Blackstock, Akos Buszacky, David Norris and Co ran rings around him. Before the game to today I told my daughter to watch how useless he was ...

:D And my personal favourite...

I think all the teams in the leagues should be made to have some Wes Morgans in there teams then you could introduce a sort of Wes Morgan handicap system to even games up, for example if Chelsea drew Southend in the cup they would have to play 9 Wes Morgans and Southend only 1..............I think I should stop drinking now.

Wes needed a break...not because he is tired but because his game was dropping...he would have been dropped..

Wes has always been like this though, he's either really good or crap and when he is crap he needs a break, watch now when he comes back from this suspension and he will be a different player.

How many time Wes? How many times will you do something Clump? How many times!!

Kicking the ball straight at one of their players!! why did you do that? Giving away penalties and other clump things thats are Wes.

No not at all.

What people seem to be forgetting is Wilson had a very poor game too. The reason Wes hit the ball at that player was because everyone panicked. Wes wasn't marking or even near Fallon when the ball came into the box. Wilson was marking him and failed to head the ball as he had been failing to do everytime the ball came in and as he continued to do. After not winning the header the ball very luckily dropped right at him to clear which he again failed to do. Wes then tried to intervene which maybe he shouldn't have done but I can understand since Wilson was unable to clear it himself. Therefore trying to clear the ball he will have had no compusure and he would have been panicking and the goal they deserved but not because of Wes. I can remember on 4 or 5 occassions Wilson marking a player the ball lofted towards his player and another player in Perch or someone having to jump and get the header because Wilson was getting beat in the air each and everytime.

Criticising Wes for the goal is understandable but a bit harsh. If anyone needs a bit more criticism it is one of our overrated defenders in Wilson.

Did you even see the goal?

How on earth was Wilson meant to head the initial ball, when he was marking Gallagher (not Fallon). In fact, the throw-in didn't go anywhere near Wilson.

Perch missed the initial header, Wes then fell over Gallagher and kicked it into Fallon. If you were being ultra critical then you could say Wilson should've been in front of Gallagher, but then again he would've had to have fouled him to get there and how many centre backs would stand the wrong side of a striker when a ball comes in, anyway?  ::)

Blaming either of the two CB's for the goal is daft IMO.

Having just seen the goal, I can't believe anybody would actually lay blame on someone for that  To use a cliché, it could have gone absolutely ANYWHERE.

Don't think the second yellow was one either. But officials are being complete numptys at the moment and have lost all common sense.

I saw the goal on the Championship yesterday.

It wasn't his fault at all. It was a complete fluke, and Plymouth, on those grounds were lucky to win. I'm sure in the real world, they weren't lucky, but you all know what I mean!

I'm not sure about the sending off. I think that had it been his first tackle of the game, it would have been a yellow but not as a second yellow.

I don't know if he had made a few bad tackles prior to that and so it was more an amalgamation of those tackles resulting in a second yellow.

What an awful Championship player this clown is!!

His selection in the team is an act of pure incompetence alone, before the 90 mins of amateur football that follow!

Do you reckon its a Nottm thing??

Forest have gone out their way to employ only boys from the hood.

Have they created a bigger problem within?

We now have a tight knit bunch of average players. Perhaps its hard to drop one without upsetting others??

You have a point Killburn,Morgan gave Bennett a shite ball i nthe 1st half Bennett never critised Morgan. But when Martin gave Julien a shit ball Bennett had a right go at him.

If I post 15 quotes/rants, sooner or later I'm going to hit the great big dirty nail on the rusty head??

Have we discovered the root of the problem Livingston??

I would just like to post that Morgan had another shocker today, which will be reflected in my forthcoming match ratings. I'm sure he's a decent guy and certainly plays with a passion for Forest, but his technical ability is akin to a baby elephant.

Sorry Wes, but when a harsh critic of Breckin (me) suggests he should start instead of you, that's quite an indictment.
