In my personal opinion the back 5 of Breckin, wilson and Chambers as centre backs and lynch and bennet as full backs would be the best we could do at the minute.

Morgan has been a liability for a while now and always looks like he needs too shed a few pounds... he's also got no pace and is screwed when he faces any striker with pace.

Joe

So you would drop Morgan for Chambers and Breckin, who both have constantly outpaced, skinned and generally shit?

I'm not saying Morgan is great, but replacing him with Breckin or Chambers is just suicidal.

Plus Lynch and Bennett are both Left sided, so neither could play right wing back.

Would like to see Chambers at CB after all, it is his position, rather him than Morgan.

You weren't at Wolves then.

his defending is f***ing appalling.Even the basics.

Wes can be one of the best defenders for us, and then become the biggest donkey for us.
You don't know what to expect.

I'm certainly not holding anythin against Wes, he will always conjour up a moment of madness but he's one of the few players that holds his hands up. He also gets on with the game when things don't go his way, something a certain Mr Chambers and Martin seem to lack.

Wes Morgan has been 'doing it' for years. Somehow, he has earned cult hero status, presumably for his jinking runs forward rather than his defensive capabilities.

Though I don't dislike him, he's a third division footballer at best. The amount of work Kelvin Wilson has to do for him is an embarrassment - to both of them.

Leave Wes alone.

Everyone has bad games, maybe today was Wes' bad game.

I'll add it top his list, though at the minute none of our defence looks the business and probably wont until theres a shake up at the club.

He needs to be replaced, I've said it all summer. He's not good enough at this level - it's a sad truth, but the truth nevertheless.

Based on today, no he proberbly isn't.

He was rubbish and proberbly should have been sent off earlier (although a few argyle fans have said whilst he should have gone earlier, the foul he actually went for wasnt a yellow)

I just found this thread a bit laughable, people who obviously wernt at the game, blaming him for the goal. When the ball is in your own 6 yard box as a defender you boot it out and ask questions later. He was very unfortunate that he booted it and Fallon got in the way.

I find all the critism of wes quite harsh. He's not the most natural and brilliant of defenders ... but I think he's good enough.

I didn't go today, but it sounds like a unlucky goal ... .but we can't keep blaming defeats on luck ... you make your own luck ...

Despite the goal being lucky, and us being unlucky not to get a penalty, theres no way they were lucky to win, as strange as that sounds.

Despite the crap ref and the bad luck, 0-1 was a very fair scoreline.

Another bizarre goal, which only shows up when our attacking options are to say the least limited at this moment, the plymouth defence were there for the taking unyet our genuine attempts on goal were minimal. This game was poor from all quarters of the pitch and therefore a collective failure!

How many time Wes? How many times will you do something Clump? How many times!!

Kicking the ball straight at one of their players!! why did you do that? Giving away penalties and other clump things thats are Wes.

First costly error of the season, after some admirable performances.

What sound judgement.

chambers must therefore be a 'chump' however non of this name calling will help in getting us of the bottom

Its fair to say that Wes has been left found wanting so far at this level, but then so have most of the useless bleeders so there seems little point in making him a scapegoat.

Is it fair to say? After what, two or three mistakes?

Don't get me wrong, I have doubts about Wes in general, but so far he's generally exceeded my expectations at the back.

People leap to conclusions mighty fast based on one or two lapses in performance.
