we are losing ground already

right the for all those that say we should give CC more time and the others that think one win will turn this all around please take a look at the table as it stands today. if we loose to palace and watford also win we could find ourselfs 6 points a drift from getting out of this mess.

it can not be alowed to conitnue for another month best case scenario for october would  be we clawed our way back to being just a point behind but imho for that to happpen you would be relying on forest winning all 3 home games and picking a point up away from home bassicly 10 points and thats banking on the teams above us droping 5 points, looseing yet further ground to the saftey zone over october would be game over, it would require one hell of a run to claw back a 9-12 point gap.

while also looking at the table look at the teams we have picked points up against and where abouts in the table they are only one is in the top half and thats reading.

If we loose to palace not matter how well we play or how many deflections there goals take we need action taking I honestly dont know if that is the sacking of CC or if its new faces in the squad but we are in danger of being in big trouble and game number 10 is the big one

Re: where losing ground already

I'd prefer being adrift in October to being adrift in May.

What's this got to do with the Stadium move ?

38 games to go. I think there may be a few more chances to get points back. CC is on a rolling contract and wont cost us a penny if he is sacked. But the signs are there. The 352 we played last night demonstrated a better defensive performance. With Garner, Anderson, Earnshaw, McGugan to come back, I think most teams would struggle for points with 'arguably' their best players out.

The defensive frailties are being displayed, but the signs are that they are getting better. Ok, were not putting the ball in the net which is a problem. But with 3 players who dont really complement each other, once Earnie etc is back, I have no doubts we will come good. If we finish 4th from bottom I will be happy. This year is becoming our consolidation year.

I'm sure if we all looked back through our own posts we'd find plenty of spelling and grammar mistakes without having to pick on other people's.

Personally I'm calling for the immediate sacking or resignation of both Kilburn Red and Spring Heeled Jack. They have had three seasons now and have consistantly failed to remove Nigel Doughty and Mark Arthur from the City Ground, making them the root cause of all our problems.

KR OUT! SHJ OUT!!!

Because we're fickle. Because some of us want to look as though we care. Because some of us think we deserve better. Because some of us like moaning/panicking...

Weren't we 12 points adrift & panicking last season?

Firstly you're looking way too far in the future the 10-12 point adrift thing let's look at now. 9 games in we are 3 points adrift of safety. Now while we have fellow strugglers Palace on saturday, Watford have Preston. Now both sides will be low on confidence there is no doubting that but a win for us which is a realistic target could take us level with them.

That win can then go on to start our momentum. As Palace showed last year and as Sunderland showed the year before a bit of belief and a bit of confidence can completely turn your season around. We have the ability we have the players and we have the manager in place to make a success of this season and a success classes as 21st or higher.

Besides in order to go 12 points adrift we would be in November and we would have to lose every game and everybody else would have to win. I think you got your maths mixed up a bit because I don't know how if we win our 3 home games it leads to us relying on other sides at this stage. That will only happen come January Feburary time when we will start to be reliant on other results.

It's too early to panic now anyway.

RICH1977

John Robertson
right then as of today we are 5 points from safety ???

I know this is anal but I will post it anyway

nowich 21st if there form stays the same over the next 6 games that will bang them on 17 points
barnsley are 22nd if there form is the same over the next 6 games they will be on 13 points
doncaster are in 23 rd and on a 6 game losing streak in that continues (higly unlikely) to 12 games they will stay on 7
forest are rock bottom and for sake of argument we win pick up 9 points out the next 6 that will have us on 11

so mmy table in theory as folows

21st nowich 17 points
22nd barnsley 13 points
23rd forest 11 points
24th doncaster 7

now that would still leave us 6 points from safety with 16 games played facing a trip to pride park and a 6 pointer at nowich at the end of the month, o.k this is all going on current form and some teams could hit shit look like ourselfs but If I put forest current form down and didnt given them 9 points we would be 11 points adrift.
