Biggest prima donna around, when at QPR playing at Hull a player passed the ball to another QPR player ignoring him, he took his gloves off, threw em to the floor and made the gesture to the manager he wanted to be subbed. The manager ignored him so he just stood inside the center circle not moving for the remaining 10 mins of the half. Another time he was subbed but not to his liking so walked down the tunnel passed the dressing room, out of the stadium where he waited in the bus queue with the public for a bus, still in full kit.

Spending big money doesn't always guarantee success either. Arsenal spent £72m on Pepe and £50m on Ben White and they didn't finish top 4, and their fans criticise those players very openly. Mainly because of their price tags.

You have to find the right players with the right attitude to fit into your culture, which I think Dane Murphy realises more than anyone, hence him trying to bring most of the loan players back to the club.

We don't want to be one of those clubs who wants someone to deliver on big money and then they don't. A loan signing with an option to buy like Dean Henderson makes perfect sense.

They love White, Pepe not so much.

Spending big money doesn't always guarantee success either.

Another prime example being sheffield united, spent just shy of £120m in the prem and ultimately all they had to show for it was Berge and Ramsdale. Ramsdale they ended up selling to Arsenal for a £5m profit and Berge is still valued at the same price he was when they bought him (~£20m)

It was a typical Wilder approach, he might be a decent playing coach but he's a liability in the market with his short sighted over spending

Not knowing very much about any of our linked players this summer makes it more enjoyable - less jeopardy if it all falls apart.

(On the flip side perhaps I'll cry like a baby if the one I do know about goes elsewhere.)

News on the ground from friends in Italy is that Hellas Verona are looking to sign Daniel Maldini on loan from the Rossoneri and that Forest are also interested. Personally, I think my Italian friends have been visiting the local wine pumps a little too often.

Think a player is signing for us but you don't have a source?

No worries! There's a place for that type of nonsense now. That place is here.

If you post a thread without a source, it'll probably get moved to here.

As you were.
So it could ketchup with you eventually?
