Not having a car I have no idea of the answer, here, but I'm sure there are very few people working at County Hall in the evenings or the weekends. Are fans allowed to park there for a price when games are on? There appear to be 400+ car parking spaces there. It would generate a little more money for the council coffers and may take more cars off of local streets if they did.

Car parking on match days has been £10 to the gateman, cash,on arrival in County Hall car park…….takes about an hour to get out after mind! I read that pay as you enter/leave by card via ANPR system is being installed in the summer so next seasons prices will go up I suspect.

Do they allow parking on Bridge Field too when the weather is decent?

yes definitely. For years i've parked near the racecourse then cycled over lady bay bridge to the BC stand bike stand. Pretty scary on the bridge and the bike stand is inadequate and poorly sited but it works. Looking forward to the improvement,
Just out of interest Billy, when you park, are you parking the bus?

Also, why is the bike stand inadequate?

Asking for a friend who likes busses and bikes and cars and boats.

Two images that just came up on my FB feed- one from 1980 and another from last week.

My question is when were those trees planted? Given their size they look older than 1995 when the Trent End was completed.
I planted a tree in Boston in 1992 if that helps the investigation.

They must be around 30 years old I reckon. Totally appropriate additions aren’t they!

I've had an email from the Supporters Trust (presumably so have all other members) asking me to email RBC, using a prepared draft, in support of the planning application.

Maybe an indication that the application is going to be considered soon, or is that wishful thinking?

Presumably the draft is the same as the last couple of comments on the planning portal. The portal also includes comments from the local safety advisory team saying they are waiting for the club to talk to them so I'm guessing nothing happening soon.

Probably just having a whip-round to buy some more yellow trousers.

Not to make excuses but the Leeds & Villa projects are both smaller in nature & much simpler. Both of them are extending a current stand onto the back of a car park.

If the Peter Taylor stand was where the Brian Clough stand was for us, I am sure ours would have got done years ago.

We can all appreciate the great location of our ground but this is the compromise you have to make, unless you want us to move to an industrial estate that's surrounded by 4 car parks.

Piece of piss for Leeds to get their project sorted. As you say, there's nothing but car parks, gravel wasteland and a ring road around them. It's exactly the sort of thing councils love having regenerated at someone else's expense.

I said a few weeks ago that I don't think the club has any real intention of moving ahead with the expansion plans, given that we didn't get to the Champions League and we've had a bit of difficulty selling out recent games. From a financial point of view, I'm not sure it really makes sense at this moment in time to do it.

I think we're at the point now where either they'll either decide to shelf the idea to expand or broach the subject of moving again, because I can't really see how it's going to be able to be done and done safely where we are.

It's bad enough getting into the stadium on a match day, as it is.

We used to attract crowds in excess of 40,000 from time to time (not regularly) in the past and nobody batted an eyelid.

Why not build a new main stand imminently (which we have planning permission for) and go from there? It doesn’t preclude us from developing further in the future if we need it (circumstances and governments change).

My fear is the obsession with building a 52,000 capacity stadium (which in my opinion we don’t need) means that we do nothing at all.
