Walk into Game put your name on the waiting list. We got two offered us from two different stores in the space of 3 days a month before Xmas.

All my lads mates have them, infact I don't know anyone who didn't get one pre xmas that wanted one...you've just got to try I suppose

I think they are underpriced anyway.

You would pay £500+ for a PC graphics card that would run stuff the PS5 does.

It is well worth it, a great console.

Get that app, is it hotstock? That's how I got my xbox. Came close 3 times at various Argos stores, had one on order but the stock just never came in. I ended up bagging one from Smyths in Leeds at 4am and drove up after work to get it :lol:

But yeah, just set up notifications, I ended up paying the £5 or whatever it was for the 'premium' which means you get the alerts first, actually bastard worked as well.

Tbf tho a RTX 3070 MSRP is the same as a PS5 and games would run loads better on PC along with other quality of life additions that having a PC includes.

The only sticking point is exclusives, but there’s only a few significant ones on the ps5.

Yes, I installed the Seagate 'firecuda' with heatsink. The pre/post-Xmas price spike has now levelled to RRP on most recommended drives, so strike now before any further supply chain issues.

Yes and no. I have a core of about 15 games that I want quick access to with no barriers.

The amount of times I've deleted GTA V and RDR 2 only to sit down and suddenly have the urge to dive back in, if only to drive/ride around for an hour or two.

It also depends what games you got as some games take the piss with updates, 30-40gb just for an update. If you only have 500gb it fills up quickly just with a couple of games.

And games are only gonna get bigger now they are starting to make them with new gen in mind. The first few years of releases on these consoles have mostly been made with old-gen in mind because they wouldn't have started development when the new one came out.

I like to hope it is why Rockstar took so long to announce they are making a new game because they are making it on newgen. And you consider GTA V was made for the PS3! The stuff they will be able to do on PS5 is unthinkable.

I think I've got 40ish games on my PS5, SSD and external HDD. I'm terrible for downloading and forgetting to play.

Hot damn that's a lot. Maybe it's just me, I like to play 1 game to death before moving onto another one and only really go back for DLC or maybe an achievement.

I think the only games I've ever played through more than once are Simpsons Hit & Run, GTA 3/V and LA Noire.

Could go through RDR2 again actually... wouldn't be 100%ing it again though... those goddamn fucking birds took forever to hunt.

I've just done that. I tend to play 4 or 5 at times so have COD, battlefield, hell let loose, fifa, f1 and cricket always on there, a couple of them are massive.

If it just adds on top of game storage that would make Rainbow six siege a terabyte sized game!?

It depends what the update does, I think. If it's changing stuff then yeah, most is replacing what's there, obviously adding things are on top.

For those interested, GTA V with online, the upgraded PS5 version, is £8.75 on the PS store.

I've been playing Elden Ring, its tough but very good. My main gripe is the multiplayer mode. Guys, just let us join someone else's game and let us play together rather than all the f**king about you put us through collecting items and then having a gimped version of your friend join the game...

Oh, it took me less than a week to get a PS5 https://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-ps5-playstation-5-console just put yourself down on the mailing list, they will alert you when somewhere has it in stock. PS don't be an ass to Freddie.
