The Hope for a new Striker

I do hope forest don't rest on their laurels in the striking department relying on one is never going to suffice i personally believe forest need other options up front and the creative blend behind to supply the opportunities, any thoughts on who might if any come in?

jazz does have a fair point as we are quite light in numbers up front. Nuno da Costa or Lyle Taylor probably won't be what we need.

However don't write off Awoniyi just yet. Surridge is probably the most natural finisher at the club apart from Brennan.

I wouldn't mind us bringing in Dennis from Watford to add competition but if not, a good loan signing would do the trick.

One more striker is definitely required though because if injuries happen, we don't want to be relying only on Surridge with a groin problem. Wish Grabban had stuck around as his experience would have been good for the whole squad.

I think we should all heed the advice of my old music teacher and listen to more jazz.

Did we sell Surridge?

Loan a backup for Lingard and a backup for Johnson. Buy Garner late in the window after Man Utd finally decide they don't want him. Done.

I think for a little bit we might struggle to gel, then Super Coops will sort them out and the pace and skill will destroy the opposition

But I’m talking first game not over the season, it’s why I’ve bet on half time Noocastle, full time Super Coopers Magic red and white army.

Rest of the season will be a stroll.

I wonder if August doesn't go well whether Marinakis will panic and we'll end up paying out a lot of money right at the end of the window.

Unless you get one of those instinctive, born goalscorers like Gerd Muller, damn his eyes, you just have to settle on a striker who scores some of the time, and even the best of those are expensive.

We're not in that league, so we will have to hope that our players have a bit of luck and a bit of skill this season. Enough to pick up a few wins. I'm sure that there will be chances, it's how we take them.

Young Haaland went for a relative bargain at €65m (because of his release clause) and Barcelona have just paid (somehow) €50m for the nearly-34 year old Robert Lewandowski.

Both absolute quality players, but it shows again that goalscoring is the most prized part of an team, and its best practitioners are extremely expensive!

We won 3 and and drew 1 last preseason I think. Then 1 point from 7 games.

With all the incomings, it will take a bit of time to gel. Just need to get a few points in first 5 matches which are tough.

we probably need 40 goals this season.
If Lingard, Johnson and Awoniyi can get 10 each, I reckon the rest of the team can pick up another 10 between them.
