You see, the Germans always win!

Just admit it’s the superior country, and you can move on.

Whatever you do don’t get a Worcester Bosch boiler.
The Worcester part is faultless, the Bosch part is always breaking down.

*If* you’re an American.

If you’re German, or live in Germany, the prudent Schwarz-null policy of eliminating debt is extremely popular.

Excellent. I shall PM the new FC Bayern CEO, Oliver Kahn, as I’m certain Der Titan will be up for that.

Brazil 1, Germany 7 was on the other day, I’d almost forgotten how hilariously bad Brazil were in that match.

I remember watching in disbelief, however germany were incredible. Brazil just gave up as soon as Neymar realised he couldn't dive his way into a goal.

Without a doubt the best football side I've ever seen.

That game is a regular highlight on German telly, as it is judged as a high water mark of recent German sides under „Jogi“ Löw.

And in truth, they could easily have hit double figures.

Good side this:

GK 1 Manuel Neuer
RB 16 Philipp Lahm (c)
CB 20 Jérôme Boateng
CB 5 Mats Hummels(Substituted off 46', Per Mertesacker)
LB 4 Benedikt Höwedes
CM 6 Sami Khedira(Substituted off 76', Julian Draxler)
CM 7 Bastian Schweinsteiger
RW 13 Thomas Müller
AM 18 Toni Kroos
LW 8 Mesut Özil
CF 11 Miroslav Klose(Substituted off 58‘, Andre Schurrle)

Each one of those players in their prime too. Fantastic squad

Flattered them a bit. One of the luckiest 7-1s you'll see.

True, although only Klose was born outside Germany.

Mind you, blurring ethnicity and n international football is hardly a new thing, ask the Republic of Ireland!

I'm watching Wales v Slovakia. Was at that one in Bordeaux.

Had Ireland v Italy from 94 on Friday. And Scotland v Sweden from 90 earlier in the week.

It's funny when there's no football, all the broadcasters have been re-running international stuff. Despite what all the Prem fans would have you believe, especially when international breaks disrupt Super Sundays, it's like international is just better.

I have found that I don't watch any club football on TV (other than if I'm at the pub)

Yet, when an international tournament is on I tend to watch every game.

The qualifiers and friendlies can be a bit dull, but the summer international tournaments are the best of professional football.

Once you've suffered months of tedious qualifying games involving pubs teams like Malta, Gibraltar & Scotland you then have to suffer the tournament group stages which due to having 3 out 4 teams from each group qualifying (with a pub team in each group) become basically an exhibition you get then get to the knock - out stages where the big teams play each other after FIFA / UEFA have ensured it's borderline impossible for them to have been knocked out previously which is when it starts to get interesting.
