Years Left:

1 Year: Figueiredo, Grabban, Jenkinson, Bong, Fornah, Colback?, Smith, Fernandes, Harbottle? Wright?

2 Years: Carvalho, Lolley, Samba, Johnson?, Yates, da Costa, L Taylor, Arter, Cafu, Shelvey, Konate? Hammond?

3 Years: Worrall, Mbe Soh, McKenna, Ionannu, Gabriel, Swan, Horvath, Back?

4 Years: Mighten

Not including young professionals but it looks like it is just down to Grabban and Colback (but he probably was given 3 years after not playing for 18 months) on whether they will remain beyond this season.

2 years has become a massive problem. Too many players who aren't contributing enough. Whether that is down to the player or the lack of coaching ability and team structure they playing in, we don't know. Talking Carvalho, Yates, Cafu, Da Costa, Arter, Lolley, Samba , Taylor.

You've got to look at the coaching. It's not just that many of these players appear to have gne backwards but that a few of them continue to get picked game after game indicating they're playing exactly as instructed.

100% which gets back to why are we sticking with Hughton? We probably can't pay him off.

This club struggles to give the tools but it definitely struggles to maximise it's assets as well.

Murphy will probably go before him anyways.

Today's Athletic article with Neil Back (Fin Backs dad for those that don't know) seems to indicate the contract he signed in the summer was for 4 years, so have changed it (was set at an uncertain 3)

Have I missed updates on Brennan Johnson contract situation?

nope, the last update is that the 2 parties are close, but have a bit of a stalemate with a couple of parts of the contract (thought to be a release clause) hopefully gets sorted before too long

Business to do next summer:

Summer 2022 Expiry: Figueiredo (Release), Grabban (Extend a year), Jenkinson (Release), Bong (Release), Fornah (Extend), Colback? (Release), Smith (Release), Ely (Release)
Summer 2023 Expiry: Carvalho (Sell), Lolley (Sell), Samba (Extend), Johnson (Extend), Yates (Extend), da Costa (Sell), L Taylor (Sell), Arter (Sell), Cafu (Sell), Silva (Sell)

13 senior players to leave the club. At a rough estimate, I think their combined wages are somewhere in the £150k-£175k a week range, or £7.8m to £9.1m over a season. If we're go about a business well we might be able to get £5m or so in player sales for those outgoings.

That's a significant change in commercial picture in a very short space of time.

yep, Fins dad is the famous ex-England Rugby international

Well I never.
I used to watch Neil play at the Nottingham rugby club. They had some team in those days-several full internationals including Grey the Scotland lock (who was, I think a dentist).

So presumably Neil back still stayed around Nottingham even after he moved on to “better” things…
