Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

Why do they include FA Cup semi final and final dates and not the dates of the Papa John’s trophy? Disrespecting the competition!

Full marks to Derby for boycotting the World Cup and continuing to keep it real by playing in round 2 of the FA Cup (if they don't get knocked out in round 1).

I am just looking forward to the Boxing Day game build up, as Sky dub it as “club football returning” - meanwhile derby won’t have had a break at all.

I live in Beeston, which is twenty minutes down the road from Derby. Never been into the city centre once. Like others say, peak district is great, and Darley Abbey is nice too, but yeah, closest I've been into the city centre was the train station.

Not particuarly sheltered either as I've found time to go to Carlisle, Newcastle, Darlington, Glasgow, Portree, Plymouth, St Ives, Brighton, Bournemouth, Southampton, Norwich, Blackpool, Chester, Wrexham...

Edit: Sorry, miles behind and the thread has moved on from this conversation.

Fleetwood, Morcambe, Exeter, Accrington, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Plymouth, et al... Derby are going to chewing over those prospects right now

It’s very long. I made it about 20% through
It's a good piece. The takeaway points from me were that other professionals within the industry are starting to come out and speak against Quantumas processes and question them generally. This signifies that some of the information is starting to come out to a point whereby they feel Quantuma are going to have much bigger issues to deal with rather than focus on potential legal action against detractors from fellow professionals.

This should be the most worrying statement to Derby supporters from Andrew Hosking:

"When do I think it will happen? I genuinely don’t know. But I do know we’re working to the early hours every day answering questions"

I didn't know Hosking was involved in the Wimbledon/MK Dons fiasco. What a person to have involved in the potential sale of your club!

Having Hosking & Andronikou as your administrators is like having the Soviet Union & Nazi Germany as your neighbours in 1939. You know it's not gonna end well.
Not if your name is „Poland“, anyway.

It's like they ordered Administration from Wish.

Mate I live 1.5 miles from Derby city center and I don't go!

Actually looking at those Derby fixtures for the new season, I hadn't realised just how many clubs with a rich history there are in that league.

Some really well respected old clubs are in there.

Decent sized clubs such as Wednesday, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Bolton all down there, mixing it with minnows like Shrewsbury, Derby and Accrington Stanley.

Even if they had a full squad and weren't staring liquidation in the face, it looks a tough league to get out of. Moreso than when we were down there, and it took us three attempts to do it.

Very tough start as well; Oxford, Charlton and Barnsley are all teams you'd expect to challenge for promotion next season.

Looking at the fixtures to September, you can see them being in the relegation dog fight at that stage even without the -15pts.

The clubs playing them in August will be rubbing their hands together. Best case scenario for them is they are painfully unprepared.

Rooney will probably walk a week before the season starts so he takes all of his summer pay packet.
