I've seen it all now.
Pride of the Midlands?
They're not even pride of the East Midlands.
They’re not even the pride of Leicester. Once City have spent a few years down in the Champ, the handful of outside fans they gained in 2016 will start buying Liverpool shirts while the locals will migrate back to the rugger, returning the Tigers to their natural status as Leicester’s leading light.

I must say-when I moved to Leics in 1991 only a few old dears were shuffling occasionally down to
Filbert Street.

A mate of mine, Braunstone born and bred, was ashamed to have anything to do with his hometown club when it was staffed by Russell Hoult and Gary Charlesworth. Come 2016, he couldn’t get enough of them. That maybe tells you something about the fragile nature of their support. Anyway, that’s enough ranting at Leicester for one lifetime - I’m usually not that bothered about them.

Even the next door neighbour's cat was wearing a blue rosette in 2016.

Seven pounds sixty, for a pint? Of piss?

You can stick that right up your Mother Brown.

Yer couldn't have a 'knees up' on those prices that's for sure.

When footballers themselves get paid so much, it’s this kind of thievery that rankles.

It’s not just West Ham, it’s every stadium including ours and especially Wembley. It’s a complete disgrace. Frankly you get better beer and food outside the ground anyway so why anyone chooses to consume within is bonkers.

Spurs offer amazing food inside their ground, most people that go to that stadium now don't even bother eating outside, they will get stuff inside because of the huge concourses & really good food.

Would love us to put half the effort in that they have, I would happily pay a bit extra if the stuff was actually nice.

Agreed. I did the tour there During the euros and it’s great. Sausage rolls were £3.50 but massive and tasty. I almost specifically didn’t include them in my post as they stand out like a sore thumb for quality and pricing.

Apparently they've also got a cheese shop

But I don't go down the match to buy f***ing cheese so they can shove that nonsense right up their cockney bollocks

I tried to support our club buying inside the ground in the past but piss poor food and overpriced bland beer made it difficult. When they moved over to card payments only that was the end for me.
Also found it odd that it was cash only in the fans park but card only in the ground.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, less of the negativity Bryn 😂

I wouldn't hang around too much outside White Hart Lane. Used to live in Wood Green and get off the station there, quickly get on the bus and go home. Hopefully it's got better since then! I know the new stadium dominates the road now.

It's the juxtaposition between the shitty streets of Tottenham and the gigantic stadium that looks plonked there. At least with the Emirates it seems to have been built on a decent amount of space.
