The ‘I have something to say about Forest that doesn’t warrant its own thread’ Thread

Interesting story about Yan Diomande the one close to joining Real Madrid now, emerged over the last few days. In 2024 he was set to sign for Forest/Olympiacos, the plan was to start at Olympiacos and then join Forest later. He had a medical at Olympiacos but then his spiritual father - another agent took him away from Greece to sign for Leganes - Olympiacos were perplexed on what actually happened.

I didn't know about this, and i wish i didn't read about this before bed.

I know the BBC is untrustworthy these days but do they actually know Forest are in the Prem?

Every day when I go onto their Premiership site there is usually nothing about us. Plenty on bits of trivia, BS and gossip about Spuds, Scousepoo, Citeh & ManUre.

How do you know the BBC is untrustworthy these days?
Is it because the Daily Torygraph and Expresail tell you so?
I believe the BBC remains the most trustworthy news and current affairs provider.

I noticed the lack of Forest content too. Mind you, it would help if Mr Randall got his fountain pen out😀 Also Nick Mashiter might be on holiday with the little shiters.

I find the Spurs glazing particularly perplexing, considering that they've finished 17th (and little old Forest has finished above them) for 2 seasons in a row.

If something was happening at Forest it might help.

I'm not sure there's a huge hunger out there nationally to know how the Brazilian lads at Forest got on playing killer pool for the 8th day running.

Everyone knows that it rolls over and over and over until Milenkovic wins it

The 1979 Super Cup victory over Barcelona was 2.1 on Aggregate , badly researched historical focus yet again by the Official Website.
How hard can it be to get this sort of thing right? OK, so the person who wrote it will almost certainly be too young to remember it themselves but 10 seconds’ research would give them the correct score rather than half-remembering something and not bothering to check.

I do wonder if the Club has ever realised that pottering round this forum are a number of incredibly well-informed and well-researched individuals whose love for the club is enormous and unconditional.

A quick ask of "can someone check this history piece before we wally ourselves in public on our own website please" would see the edit made BEFORE pushing to production...

I don't think we have a specific forest media channel thread so I'll put this here for now. I know it's not for everyone but I enjoy these updates. Amusing little Morato fouling incident at 9 mins in.

Christ. How times change.

Must've have been difficult for Fawaz to be the head of media while he was chairman, CFO, CEO, commercial head, chief scout, deputy chief scout, physio, admin and on the gate.

Short rant, which I have to get off my chest. Won't be seen by the people its meant for.

On social media. Please stop using Nottingham Forest as a punchline. Real Madrid fans saying to PSG fans, dont think you are a big club, you only have as many CLs as Nottingham Forest. Or anyone to Arsenal fans, stop talking, Nottingham Forest are a bigger club than you etc.

Or people saying, man utd are trying to buy xyz player; and someone responds, he is like Nottingham Forest level

You can all eff off

Sorry for that, but I feel better.

Doesn't matter how much PSG win, they'll always be johnny come very, very, lately. Captain Sinister probably has underwear older than them and they were shit until the oil money arrived. You could rock up and buy a ticket at 14.55 a few years ago and they were of such little consequence they had to fight among themselves.

They should be proud to have won as many European cups as us,

Just back from a week in Sicily. It always amazes me how often I bump into other reds around the world. Maybe expected if you stay at an all inclusive with other Brits but I like to fly, drive and see as much of the place as possible. I think the "U Reds" that is customary to scream in such situations to each others is something unique to Forest.

I had a few in the last week but the best was in Cefalu when a young local saw my forest top and belted out the customary greeting. Turns out he didn't speak great English but with my broken Italian we deciphered that he watched a game on TV just after our promotion, became obsessed with everyone singing MoK pre-match and has been following us since. Of course we had a quick duet, I gave him my shirt and tried to recoup as much as possible in free gelato.

Oh and we had a right old laugh over how bad Lorenzo Lucca is :D

I love stories like this .

Winning a "UCL" (*spits*) can in no way be compared to winning the European Champions Cup.

The "UCL" (*spits*) is a circus where you can finish 5th or 6th in your domestic league, lose half a dozen games and still win the tournament.

The European Cup, for domestic champions and holders only, was straight knockout all the way.
Draw 1-1 at home, draw 0-0 away and you were out thanks to the away goals rule. You didn't even have to lose a game to be knocked out.

Also, anyone who actively refers to the current circus as the "UCL" (*spits*) needs to be slapped, hard and repeatedly - it's similar to referring to twat Ronaldo (the Portuguese one) as "CR7" (*spits*)
