150-1 to be top PL goalscorer next season. Gotta be worth 10p any day ;)

We'll be missing him in January and February 2024 if he's still with us as the AFCON has been moved from summer 2023.

He seems to like working out, doesn't he?

Liverpool's Taiwo Awoniyi is supposedly an Olympiacos target. He's had very good loan spells in Belgium and the Netherlands in the past, but a disastrous one at Mainz this season (he has hardly played). Good strong striker, aged 22, with a good finish. I think he also plays on the wings.

As is always the case when a transfer target plays in a position where both clubs are looking to bring players in, I cannot rule out that they mean the other club.

Well that was prescient

1.13 Taiwo getting smoked by 2 other lads in a sprint. I wonder if he's carrying a knock?
If you watch the next sprint Mighten v Niakhate, it appears the sprint is to the 1st white poles (you see Mighten duck for the line as if it's for a gold medal) the Awoniyi sprint footage starts after they have gone past it and he is slowing down but agree he didn't look that comfortable

Stevie C working on some specific drills to work on our deficiencies from last week there. Hopefully it translates. Mangala looks sharp.

I'm about 4 stone overweight with a gammy ankle and I reckon I could've run past Awoniyi there.

From what I've seen of Dennis he'd be lapping Taiwo.

Can we just confirm that we don't have a Freddy Adu scenario on our hands and that he's actually in his 40s...it would explain a lot to be fair so far :ROFLMAO:

I would rather have had Dennis, Davis and Surridge as our three strikers to be honest. £17.2 million for a third choice...and he's not shown me anything to justify that yet and I've watched him closely through pre season. Could be a dud, hope he proves me wrong!

He's clearly not, the finish line is the white poles, the yellow are a run off zone. The finish line was already crossed before we saw anything.
The camera angle used is set fruther back than Mighten/Niakhate run.
I hope so...

He looks like he's running through treacle there with his shoelaces tied together. Looks to be a real struggle in his face too but I've probably read too much into that and it's just his unique running style.
