It is impossible to work out what will happen, being in the Champions League would change everything.
But I don't think any big player outside of Anderson will leave regardless - just based on how we have operated in previous years, he will raise so much money on his own there will be no need & we only really sell when we a forced too. If we have Anderson money incoming partnered with CL, we will have another year of going absolutely crazy. Then again, we probably will anyway, just more player trade focused.
I also think despite how good Anderson is and is clearly our best player, he is more replaceable than Murillo or MGW in my opinion, just based on his position. Those at either end of the pitch are the ones that make the real difference most weeks. Anderson will help but without top quality defenders or attackers it's meaningless most of the time.
What formation/position is Kali playing in, in Germany?
Not sure mate. @Strummer ??
That'll never work hereas a slightly more withdrawn forward behind another striker.
Don't forget UEFA fine that we are due. Also will be a plan like Villa which means we will have to have a net positive transfer window. It felt likely that we would receive more from sales then buying this summer anyway.I suspect we'll get a few decent bids in for our second string players who we might fancy upgrading. Time to do it is when you've qualified for the CL.
Morato out for £15m?
Ndoye out for £25m?
McAttee out of £15m?
Kalimuendo out for £25m?
Cuibano and Jota Silva out for £5m each?
That's nearly £100m right there. If we get £100m for Anderson and there's another £50m+ of CL revenue to come then like you say that's an awful lot to reinvest.
If Ando is the only starting player we have to replace we should comfortably be net positiveDon't forget UEFA fine that we are due. If we're taking a punt I'd rather go with Troy Parrott.Would anyone take a gamble on Vipotnic from Swans?
Cuiabano won't be going anywhere in the summer. His loan runs until the end of the year.I suspect we'll get a few decent bids in for our second string players who we might fancy upgrading. Time to do it is when you've qualified for the CL.

Bowen > Wissa and similar age. £20m nowhere near enough.I'd love to see the list of strikers who are better than what we have, within our budget and will definitely score goals...
Half the forum were creaming their knickers over Wissa, well Newcastle dropped £55m on him and he looks like he can't hit a barn door. Said it before, unless you can afford a Haaland, it is all about catching lightning in a bottle with strikers (look at Thiago at Brentford, I'd be my right knacker he doesn't reach those type of numbers again next season). We would have all turned out noses up at Calvert Lewin last summer, he has double figures for Leeds...
I agree with Maxi 100%. IF we get CL football, I think Marinakis will go out and spend the money on a top striker. If we don't qualify, I am more than comfortable going in to next season with Wood, Jesus and Awoniyi. If you add a 4th striker to that group, with the number of wingers and 10's we have already, there will be a couple of players not making match day squads on a regular basis who cost a lot of money...
Anyway, if West Ham go down (which looks the most probable at the minute), I hope we go back in for Fernandes is Anderson leaves, he feels like the natural replacement IMO. Summerville is an interesting one, but West Ham fans seem to think he blows more cold than hot. If the money is right I would take a stab at Bowen (if the fee is the £20m mark), he could play wide right in a 4231 or alongside the striker in a 442 (which we have been playing recently).
He'll end up and Liverpool and probably for in the region of £55M-£60MIn a non relegation scenario Bowen fee would be in excess of £50m I reckon, proven top top PL player and international - even with a demotion tax upper 30s and would imagine big clubs would be after him (not saying we're not!!!)

Definitely, well on a pathway to the PL. I think he is arguably our best prospect 21 and under behind Cuhna.Tyler Bindon training with the squad today. Do we reckon he has a future?
Should be good to watch him at the World Cup.Definitely, well on a pathway to the PL. I think he is arguably our best prospect 21 and under behind Cuhna.
Another year in the Championship for a team expected to be in the promotion mix will do him good. We are blessed to have such a good central defenders.
I'd be all over Elanga if we can sign him for around 0.7 of an Elanga.Nope.
Elanga. Best not going back for a player. Best remembering him as a good'un for us.
