Summer 26 Transfer Window

No links and a massive longshot but apparently Nico Gonzalez is looking to leave City (and you would think Anderson would be his replacement). He would be a fantastic replacement who I think still has levels to go in his game. Schooled at La Masia, good experience in Spain, Portugal and England, 6'2 unit who is only 24. He would be a statement signing IMO.

A team of Neco/Nicos - I like it.

Can we also add Nico Schlotterbeck and Nicko Bendtner to the list?

And listen, while we're at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability. Interest rates. Growth. It's not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, all right? It's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you're not lying in your own shit, dving at 43 with rotten teeth. And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on, f*** off.

And Nico Williams.

The Frog

Viv Anderson
Yeah they were all shit but that has absolutely no bearing on the outcome of any future transfers
Yes and no.

Agree each signing is independent but what I do want to avoid is us signing players who have been playing in completely different styles of play. So, there is something in avoiding players from certain setups

I think it’s essential we sign players to suit the tactics we want to deploy

"...in the top one"

terms and conditions apply...
Sallai is a converted right back (during his 1 season in Turkey). Otherwise he plays attacking midfield - hence his attacking output.

Decent players with multiple position upside. Treading water in Turkey.

You'll recall he scored 2 in Hungary's 4-0 win against England at Molyneaux.

Taken from Sky Sports, no direct link, wonder if anyone has a take on the player ?

Bundesliga speedster Bahoya attracting PL interest

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Jean-Matteo Bahoya is attracting interest from the Premier League and in Europe ahead of a potential summer move.

The Saudi market also remains keen on the 21-year-old. Al Hilal tried to sign Bahoya in the January transfer window, while Al Ittihad made an approach for him last summer.

Bahoya, a France U21 international, holds the record for the highest speed ever recorded in Bundesliga history.

He was very high on my radar but I think we might bet priced out.

Youth Team
Reminds me of wasted youth (it’s a wasted on the young isn’t it) spent playing Championship Manager 2 and trying to build a title-winning team made entirely of players with the surname Smith.

Pointless exercise.
Whilst a student I once spent a Championship Manager season trying to build a whole team of players called Ali, in homage to our local kebab van owner. Was quite a challenge given work permit rules. I was doing it as Man United and was on course to get them relegated until I got the sack.

It's up there with taking over Young Boys Bern and not signing anyone over 21.
