Master Yates

John Robertson
I think he could honestly play any attacking role in our system.

For me he is perfect for us as a club, I would be over the moon if we got him. He ticks every single box.

Need FPL to start first, so I can pick him up for 4.5m

Can't imagine this guy would be for us, he's already 28 and spent his entire career in Brazil:

He's not for you. He's theoretically our main target for a no. 10, and has reportedly agreed terms with us, but Palmeiras does not want to let him go, regardless of the fact that they'll lose him without money in December, because they want back to back titles and he's instrumental to their team. In any case, Scarpa is not your typical 28-year-old Messi wannabe who's never been out of Brazil, he's supposed to be hard-working and hard-pressing besides being your typical creative Brazilian player.

Wondering if the Zinckernagel signing changes this? Still don't see us going for a 28 year old Brazilian who hasn't played outside of Brazil but it's intriguing.

It's all about mid-table...
Right folks, can any of you simplify ins and outs (defo ones) at this current time?

All I can see is a load of foreign names I cant even get my tongue around, my head's spinning.

Disclaimer - may be due to other factors such as Larrup.

Nobody confirmed yet Ray, but the credible info seems to be as follows:

- Dean Henderson, Goalkeeper from Man United. Loan with possible £20m purchase clause.
- Moussa Niakhate, Centre Back from Mainz
- Taiwo Awoniyi, Striker from Union Berlin

No real outgoings as yet, unless you include the on-loan players from last season, who don't appear to be returning.

No-one on here can confirm any "ins" as the Club has not acknowledged a single speculative rumour.
The recrutment team may or may not be talking to numerous players' agents, but again, the club is remaining silent on such maters.
If you want my adv ice, I would simply forget about football and focus on good beer and England in the cricket.

You'll have to make plenty of signings next week. There's no harm in signing players after preseason has started, but right now you don't really have many players for whom it can be safely said that they could play in the Premier without you worrying that they will look very substandard, because of their quality, their age, their fitness or a combination of the above. I would not expect Mbe Soh, Laryea, Ojeda, Mighten, Lolley, Silva and Taylor to be in the squad by August. That does not leave enough players to work with.

We definitely need a midfield partner for Yates.

Garner will be a huge miss next season and that's a position I'd like us to fill with high quality.
Two centre mids needed i reckon. Just in case Yates can’t cut it. Which is still questionable.

Duno why we haven’t just paid Lewis O’Brien’s release clause

We may be aiming higher (he is decent) also issue with meeting a lot of clubs release clauses, those payments can often be all cash upfront. As with Man City and Haaland, hence the lower price for a player of his quality.

Mangala plus a Garner replacement, perhaps?

Is the apparent focus on Bundes players a little concerning to anyone? Like I get using Syrianos’ knowledge, but don’t want to miss out on good value elsewhere by narrowing the search.

Guess it negates some of the unknowns and risk?
