Strikers

Raised in other chats-Delap has to be in discussion. Good age, prem experience, decent goal record, physical attributes, likely Chelsea will listen to offers. Not perfect but worth considering-if price is decent.
There's a reason Chelsea will listen to offers, only a year after they brought him in.

In the same way that Forest will listen to offers for Kalimuendo and Bakwa.

Can't believe some people think we don't need a striker, after the season we've just had! Unbelievable, I think getting safe has sent people a bit sideways do you not remember 90 shots no goals?

1. Left back/wing back
2. Striker
3. Quality replacement for whichever top tier player leaves

Taiwo can go somewhere and be the man, Kali unlikely to stay, jesus stays as a 10/2nd striker in a two, Wood is very unlikely to able to perform for a whole season at his age after that injury.
We need a top level 9 and I think we will get one

That’s the positives.

The negatives is, he is absolute shit.

Any Premier League club that signs Delap has done absolutely no scouting of him at all, I’m including last seasons games in that too.

I’d be moving on Taiwo and getting Louis Munteanu currently at DC United. 23 year old Romanian that could be Woods replacement once bedded in.

He would struggle for a work permit, I suspect.

Is he essentially the Aaron Ramsdale of Strikers? Expensive, young, British and bound to end up in a relegated non-promotion side?

Agree, bargain to be had there.

I'd be on the side of giving Kali a chance. He's gone away played regularly in the Bundesliga. Add in Wood back, T looking fit and Jesus finding a niche not to mention no Europe that may be enough. Unless we can attract a top choice striker but looking at Lucca I'm doubtful that could happen. Newcastle with CL and Isak money attracted absolute dogshit also.

pfffft! I think I'd rather stick with our 4 current then add Solanke. Never seen it in him, but that's just me.
Fair. He's shown flashes of what he can do, especially at Bournemouth. He has a point to prove which fits our modus operandi. I can see him fitting in..

Ideally Bowen would be nice too

I think we should go after Semenyo and Goykeres - just feed them a pork and stuffing cob and they'd sign in heartbeat

If we are going to continue 4-4-2 than I’d keep Big T, Wood and Jesus and buy one more.

If we are going to play with 1 up front I’d think about selling Taiwo and bringing one more in.
Would you sell kalimuendo? I think jesus and kalimuendo are interchangeable in their second striker role but in terms work rate i feel jesus may do more for the team game.

In terms of wood and awoniyi yes I think due to age and recurring injuries, we cant really depend on either but they are preventing us getting solid replacements with them still in the equation.

Zan vepotnik probably the player I would get to replace them 2.

Igor Thiago would be brilliant. 6ft3 24 years old and scores for fun but watch his skill and linkup play too. If Brentford don’t get into Europe then break the bank. Two Igors up front, two Brazilian international centre forwards and he wouldn’t have to be playing at legoland every other week. Portuguese speaking manager and of course Brentford will already have a brilliant replacement lined up for £7.5m. Go on EM, show them the money.

Even off the back of one season, the only thing that may tempt them is bids near 75m. We are no where near that level of spending on one player.

Could we get a striker that puts his laces through the ball please? When was the last time we had one that can blast it?
