Sir Alf Ramsey was Jacob Ramsey's Grandad
Definitely makes me feel old. I think Koumas kid is at Liverpool (on loan at Brum?) who also have Djibril Cisse’s son and Maynar Figueroa’s son.Not Forest players but there are quite a few kids of players I remember playing in my youth. Makes me feel old.
Heskey's two boys both play for Man City and Danny Cadamartari's son is supposed to be a good prospect. Neil Danns, Lee Clark, Mart Poom, Robbie Savage, Jason Koumas, Richie Wellens, Richard Cresswell - all their kids are pro footballers now.
Nigel Jemsons lads are floating around in Non League somewhere round Nottinghamshire. I know Charlie was really highly rated at one point.I’ve watched both Elliot Hodge and Callum Chettle both play for my local non league side in recent times. I have in the past been a Director of said club… in the case of Callum when he played for us; unfortunately I didn’t have the cheeseyness (if that’s a word) to go and tell his Dad that I watched the vast majority of his matches for Forest
Ashley Young’s boy also played in the friendly v Stamford AFC last summer. Young senior was at the game
What will really make you feel old is that the PL has been a global league for so long now that ex Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe (Mali) has a son who played for England youth teams. Gus Poyet's boy played for England at youth level too.Definitely makes me feel old. I think Koumas kid is at Liverpool (on loan at Brum?) who also have Djibril Cisse’s son and Maynar Figueroa’s son.
Infact I think Djibril Cisse’s other son plays on the other side of the Trent to us.
It's a shame we couldn't get Alfie Haaland to convince his lad to play for the country of his birth. What will really make you feel old is that the PL has been a global league for so long now that ex Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe (Mali) has a son who played for England youth teams. Gus Poyet's boy played for England at youth level too.
I suppose it's one way to ensure we get good footballing prospects for the England team![]()
DeirdreWho was it on here that convinced someone Karl Darlows real name was Ken?
Harry is Archie's brother and is expected to be a superstar by the Leeds hierarchy.Andy Gray who played for us around 2000 is the son of Frank Gray and Archie Gray of Spurs is his grandson
Yes - I seem to think he is at Basford mateNigel Jemsons lads are floating around in Non League somewhere round Nottinghamshire. I know Charlie was really highly rated at one point.
It would be tough enough having El Cholo as your dad, but your coach as well??Diego Simoene has two lads both playing in top leagues in Europe. His oldest, Gio, plays for Napoli (but on loan at Torino this year) and his youngest, Giuliano, actually plays for his dad at Atletico!
He looks absolutely nothing like his dad, I was amazed when they said he was his son.Considering we have just been up against him I thought I’d add (and hoping he makes a speedy recovery) our ex-loanee and Nottingham born Sean Derry’s son Jesse Derry to this list.
Obviously gets his looks from his mum.He looks absolutely nothing like his dad, I was amazed when they said he was his son.
He has 3 sons, one plays for Liverpool, one for Notts & one for us!Definitely makes me feel old. I think Koumas kid is at Liverpool (on loan at Brum?) who also have Djibril Cisse’s son and Maynar Figueroa’s son.
Infact I think Djibril Cisse’s other son plays on the other side of the Trent to us.
Djibril Cisse accused Olympiakos owner Vangelis Marinakis on March 16 of insulting sports, after the head of the Super League sued Panathinaikos?s French superstar a day earlier.
Cisse stated that he had expected Marinakis to apologize for his behavior afrer the Olympiakos vs Panathinaikos league derby on February 19 that ended in a pitch invasion by Reds’ fans, some of whom in my opinion attacked Cisse.
“I had expected the president of the Super League and Olympiakos, Mr Marinakis, to issue an apology, if belatedly, for his behavior toward my teammates and me after the match at their ground,» the statement read.
“I have been informed that Mr Marinakis sued me yesterday, twisting facts (to the extent that he claimed the phrase ‘I screwed you’ [in English] means something different in Greek to what it means on the rest of the planet!) and instead of an apology he attacked me and my colleagues for the uncivilized behavior we faced on the pitch and in the locker rooms.
“The behavior of Mr Marinakis offends sports. Instead of this behavior, a simple and honest statement of regret would have been more civilized,» Cisse stated.
A similar statement was issued by Panathinaikos, which stressed that Marinakis is unfit for heading the Super League.
This was followed by a response by former Olympiakos president Sokratis Kokkalis and a counter-response by Panathinaikos.
Marinakis filed a lawsuit against Cisse for slander and libel, three weeks after the French striker had sued the Olympiakos president for slander, verbal abuse and threats against him.
I couldn’t believe it either. To be fair, I had no idea Derry was born in Nottingham until I checked Wikipedia! He looks absolutely nothing like his dad, I was amazed when they said he was his son.
