same old boring forest

hi everyone time to have a moan about forest, new owners but so little communication just like when doughty was our boss, why havent we disclosed any sort of transfer budget??, why so hush hush?? why is it even tho we got a thread bare squad and new owners its still dead in the transfer market?, can everyone please tell me whats actually changing at forest, can someone tell me whats going to be different, why cant we secure all these signings everyones talking about, what is the actual problem here? dont know about anyone else but im already getting frustrated with the lack of urgency when the new season is so close, leeds buying like crazy and starting to get jealeous with all there signings, is it because we havent got a high enough profile manager like warnock for instance?? somethings not right about how our club is run. i,ll run around my street naked if forest ever changed there ways, specially if we brought quality signings by the end of the wk...but i for one wont be holding my breath for somethin new and exciting at forest, we are starting to get as dull has derby and thats saying something, why havent we got a manager that wont talk to the fans and get them excited, if SOD aint media friendly ten its going to get very boring this season.

just want to see some changes thats all, and since we been taken over there dont seem to be much change or communication or transfer activity.zzz

It is boring, but to disclose your budget is a bit like bending over and getting shafted by every club/agent out there.

Let's see what the rest of this week brings us.

why havent we disclosed any sort of transfer budget? - Just think about some obvious reasons why we wouldn't disclose it?

Going around shouting about how much money we have will mean any targets have inflated prices.

Transfer business is best conducted quietly and only announced when the deal is done.

Or we could shoot our mouths off, that worked so well in getting us Whittingham and Pratley.

zzz indeed! Why should the club tell the entire world it's transfer budget? All that does is tell other clubs how little or how great our coffers are (money talks), they have been communicating with us, or don't you check the OS? And do you think SO'D has been enjoying the sun all weekend or working out who we need, what we need, and where?

Seriously, chill out mate!

Do many boards give a running commentary on what their transfer objectives are? Last time we did that, re Pratley and Whittingham, it didn't end well and made us look a bit foolish. Re O'Driscoll I dodn't care if he doesn't talk to the press much. Cotterill usually made himself look stupid while McClaren and Davies did a lot of complaining. Maybe this is something that will be fielded by the rumoured D.O.F. role.

I have an idea. Why don't we tell everyone how much we have to spend so that they can hold us to ransom when we are discussing transfer fees.

Get a grip, these things take time.

Who would you have us sign?

Also you mention SOD has talked to the fans. He only took up office today. I believe his first press conference won't be till tomorrow

I'm sure that it was predicted that if he didn't sign anyone by Monday (today) people would start complaining.

It's frustrating for all of us but I think patience is required - remember the new owners and SOD have hardly had time to get to grips with the situation unlike say Warnock who's pretty well established at Leeds. As far as transfer budget is concerned, the club are between a rock and a hard place... If they announce a figure that will satisfy the supporters then the agents etc. will inflate demands. If they undercook the amount then the supporters will be up in arms. I'm spending more time on this forum than ever, willing the club to get a move on but let's give it time and I'm sure we'll see some action soon enough. I hope!!

yes i agree with hush hush on the transfer market, dont quite get the lack of talk or focus within our club which should be run alot better than it is now, should be bursting with excitement and antisipation and be gripped by now but nothing, maybe should wait all wk til end of the wk, forest know how to rev their fans up for the build up to the new season.

same old forest fans its seems, always moaning! we need the stadium microphoning, and every time a forest fans moans their chair is electrocuted, then they are ejected by high powered seating springs in to the trent, which has been infested with Q8y piranha fish, with their remains burning and being displayed in a huge every growing box of ash from the council house.....just saying! Jeez!

We were told that there is a 3/5 year plan,and that they hoped to be playing man u and man c in 5 years.
The way i read their opening statement was we will be in this division for 2 maybe 3 years rebuilding the team.. and carrying out improvements to the ground.
There hasnt been any thing to stop that belief and im sure all agree we did need a rethink from top to bottom.This way we will be better as a club to stay in the top flight as and when we get there.
