I suspect it will be horses-for-courses as far as our midfielders are concerned from Steve's point of view, but there's little doubt in my mind that he'll get plenty of gametime.

Ninety-minutes at Grimsby should do him the world of good.

I have never doubted the young man.

Prem, Europe, Champions League, International...he devours challenges like the sweet nectar they are.

His ability may hit it's limit along the way, but with his attitude and focus I still wouldn't bet against him find ways around that.

I can see him starting the next away game. I actually thought Lingard did well when we were able to get him involved, but I'd like to see what Yates could offer with Mangala and O'Brian (or whoever else it may be)

He'll close down as we know, got that bit of height if needed, he'll get back and he'll break into the box. I know he's not really a "number 8" or "number 10" or whatever it is these days, but I can see him offering something in the prem in that sort of slightly more advanced of a three.

Love Yates to bits. If he was putting all his chances away, he’d be playing for a top 4 team and regular international football.

Talent takes you so far but attitude and dedication like Yates has takes you beyond your ability. And that can’t be taught

Cos he basically did that during the game yesterday. MGW got all the praise (of the subs), but Yates gave us extra and our goal came from that. We look scarier going forward with Yates in the team.
