Try A Little Tenderness
The Derek Pavis Trophy, which apparently is contested every time we play Notts. Can't say I was aware of it until the commentator said it existed but I guess it gives Notts something to be excited about.
Of course, the stunt that Alan Hardy came up with whilst trying to manipulate a rivalry with us by trying to ensure an annual pre-season friendly at Murder Lane.

The Derek Pavis Trophy.

To recognise the man that was a board member at Forest but failed to be chairman so resigned and went to Notts instead.

To be fair, he was in charge of their most successful period in memory
My understanding is that Pavis's position, and that of his fellow-board member, Frank Allsop, became untenable when Cloughie discovered, whilst on the bus returning from a victory at Old Trafford, that both had placed a bet on a Manchester United win. Resulting, quite rightly, in Pavis and Allcock having to step down.

Where's me hammer?
Can't we just let them have the trophy and have nothing to do with it.... the guy sounds snide.

Good for Ryan Yates. I'm made up for him.

100% vice captaincy material. Far less convinced in his ability to hold his own consistently in the big league though.

Everything crossed for him, the lad deserves to be successful.

I knew getting Yatesy on the back of my new shirt was a wise move.

So happy for the lad, from barely league 1 standard to Vice Captain of a Premier League club.

Has any player had such a turn around in 11 months??

It’s proper Roy of the Rovers stuff, isn’t it?

You could tell Yates had captain potential from the off in fairness. Even when some questioned his ability on the ball you could just see that if his game was to improve he was made for it.

Natural leader. We enter a Prem campaign with 2 homegrown player the bleed Forest as captain and vice captain.

Bleddy luvleh.

Yes it is
As one of his former critics, he has certainly made me eat a huge slice of humble pie that's for sure. He's been absolutely fantastic, and I wouldn't bet against him continuing to get better either.
It'll be much harder this year obviously, but with his attitude he won't stop trying until he's the best he can be.

Exactly, him and Worral both showed these characteristics over the years, and it's no surprise they are both being rewarded.
