Chelsea signed Estevao this Summer but he can't join until July 2025 as he turns 18 in April.

True but you wouldn’t want to bring an ineligible player to England in Jan when they can only play as an 18 year old for about a month.

We on the other hand would have an 18 year old for virtually the full season.

I don’t know how the work permit rules work but I do know you can sign players who are ineligible to play. Maybe we could do that here and he becomes eligible pretty sharpish.

I remember United doing this with the full back twins under Ferguson. I think they ended up waiting two years. Perfect scenario would be us looking comfortable by January and this lad being ready for some minutes. Nice to dream!
