Leeds, Coventry and some dross side that finished 17th twice in a row at home in the first five before the mega break in Sept/Oct.

There's every chance we come out of that with 7-9 points and a strong platform to build on and avoid the kind of season we just had.

Fulham v Forest - GW25 and Forest v Newcastle - GW28 will be on TNT. They have the rights for all of them games due to it being midweek.

The Liverpool away game is supposed to be a 3pm Saturday game though. Why is that? Are they not all on TV?

I have cable TV and all Premier games are on, so I've been able to watch all of Forest's games in the Prem except for a few, maybe 4-5, where I happened to be away from home. So I was just logically assuming that all Prem games are on TV in England.

In England, football is „blacked out“ for two hours from 1500-1700 on Saturday. No coverage in the UK is allowed, on any platform.

Overseas, no problem at all.

It’s absolutely stupid but there you go.

One I could have done with being moved. Going to have to listen to it while driving through France, which I am sure will make for a relaxing experience for the rest of the family :D

Oh wow. Mental.

So, what do people do if they can't go? Listen to the radio? Where do those of you who live in the UK view the games and comment on here? Forest TV? Iffy internet links? (That's how I was watching most of our Championship games, really not looking forward to going back to that!)

I mean, as I live in Germany I have Forest commentary on every match which is just the Radio Nottingham feed but that’s got Colin Fray, so what is not to love there?

But in the UK, you’re banned from watching live football of any kind between 1500-1700 on a Saturday. Which is monumentally stupid.

But there you go.

Is this not designed to protect the lower leagues' attendances? How many professional leagues are their below Germany's top tier?

Germany has (from memory) about nine tiers of football, some are of course semi-professional, but in Germany the semi-pro levels specifically play games at times that exclude the Bundesliga (which is 1530 and 1830 on Saturday, in this case).

It’s just a bit more joined up thinking to allow as many levels of the game to thrive as possible.

I mean, I can go and watch my local semi-pro team (who play about 600m from my apartment) but they play on a Sunday lunchtime so no conflict there at all.

(And it’s really good, a healthy crowd, decent food and bier and a good atmosphere).

Sounds like the set-up is designed to encourage and motivate the players to give their best for their audience and <whisper it> possibly improve the home-grown players sufficiently for professional contracts and hopefully representing their country in the long term.

Whereas here all the Premier League and the broadcasters are interested in is the money. 🙁

I have to say, German football is ruthlessly organised and set up not to benefit outside parties (like broadcasters) but to benefit the grass-roots game and everything above it.

My local semi professional side have facilities that would probably shame some League Two/National League outfits, and they play in the eighth tier (or something like that) of German football. But that's Germans for you, the culture of the Verein is everything, and things just get sorted, and facilities are set up and maintained, regardless of level.

This country would rather sell playing fields than keep the infrastructure to encourage sporting development.

I suppose we should consider that any success this country has in international football, the Olympics and all the international sporting competitions, are all minor miracles by relying on Lottery funding, than have the facilities, coaches etc. to develop our sportspeople.

Can’t even listeria to the radio Nottingham commentary if you live outside of Nottingham, tried several times on dab radio , I live in Suffolk and you can listen to BBC radio Nottingham up to kick off then it’s says do to contractional reasons this is not available, ripped off every where in the. UK

That annoys me more than there being no live TV coverage of the Saturday 3pm kick-offs, as I understand that is designed to help encourage people to attend lower division and non-League games. If I lived next door to the WFCG I could listen to the radio commentary live for free but because I live 100 miles away I’m not allowed to. I’ve never understood how that is justified.

Yup, I also tried that when we were in the Championship, but it's not available online. Another crazy restriction.

But if you have a Forest membership you can get the Radio Nottingham commentary on every Forest match - this is exactly what I do. And anyone else who is overseas can also do.

Granted it costs €45 or something for the „Plus“ membership but a Euro a week for Colin Fray? Cheap at the price.
