I hope some/all of these friendlies are streamed by ForestTV.

For f***’s sake.

Forest finally play a match in Germany and of course, you could not make it up, I will be away that weekend for work.

I am cursed. I’d have made the 5,5 hour train journey for that. But no. I won’t even be here.

Hope all the fans who are desperate to see us play and complained about home members etc are ready to buy tickets to the friendlies, as they just want to watch Forest right and nothing to do with the league 🤔

It will be slightly special seeing the first game of the season at the city ground in the Prem.

I hope they move it to a night match, Friday or Monday night. That will make it special.

Can't wait for the Valencia game, might wear my Valencia shirt

If you get a chance to watch Forest at Union Berlin, grab it. On a weekend break I went to a match at their ground (an der Forsterei!) the season before last. The atmosphere was incredible with non stop chanting and singing, led by guys on platforms facing the crowd. When, towards the end of what was, in fact, a fairly poor Bundesliga2 match against St Pauli, Union scored, 'all' the fans threw their plastic glasses of beer up into the air. Union have the reputation of being a rebel club, so, what with their colours, recent promotion and the name of their ground, perfect partner club for Forest.

I decided to adopt them as my German team after I went to Berlin in 2018, really fun and interesting club. Bonus that they were promoted that same season!

This is actually the typical matchday experience in Germany, flying (plastic) Bier glasses and all.

The atmosphere at 1. FC Union is proper Old-school (unlike Hertha), and well worth experiencing if you can. Tickets though could be at a premium, as the Stadion an der Altern Försterei seats only 22.000

First load of pictures, Andy Reid is out there as well:

Apparently he's moving up to become a first team coach. I wonder if he will be taking Steven Reid's role as he was linked with a few managers roles?

Yeah I know that's been rumoured. I wondered the same thing regarding Steven Reid, be a shame to lose him but a very good replacement if so.

Grabban not in Spain, assuming this is legit:

Edit: No McKenna either think he's injured after international duty, but Brennan not there either after his international duty. Assume Surridge is still rehabbing after his surgery.

That is a worrying list isn't it? I know there's no McKenna, Surridge and Johnson but jeez. I think you'd struggle to put a side together from it that would stay up in the Championship nevermind the Premier League.

It just highlights the lack of depth we have and the job Cooper et al have on their hands.

Can't help but think Barnsley have undersold the game against us by only allocating us 2300 tickets. Their away end holds 5k and I'm sure we'd take at least 4k especially as opportunities to watch us are going to be at a premium next season. Unless it's to do with stewards and policing then they've really sold it short.

Surely it should be fairly straightforward to get a home end ticket for this one?

I'll ask my brother, he's a season ticket holder there. Not sure if you have to be a member etc. It's free entry to their season ticket holders, I know that much.

Not sure if this has previously been noticed - but tickets for the game in Berlin are available direct from Union -

17 Euros including fees in the Away End (Section 5 / Blocks Z1 and Z2)
Just s hint for anyone attending (or thinking of attending) - your match ticket also includes a day ticket for public transport in Berlin.

Note as well that the Köpenick district is not brilliantly served by trams and buses, but it is doable.

You will find the locals a noisy bunch, too!
