A disaster waiting to happen. A football club cannot run on auto pilot.

GBG and Karteo - is there a perception and if so is it grounded in truth would you say that EM's focus is now on us rather than Oly? Obviously I have no idea how much of the cost of the transfers we're doing are being financed by EM but could he have spent more on you and less on us?

Money is not the issue. The complete lack of any kind of decision making structure at the club is the issue. We need a Dane (and I am not talking about Zinckernagel, who was truly awful tonight).

No. There is no such problem. And you are wrong if you think that a hard core olympiakos fan like EM would lose focus on his team. The problem is that we are left without proper people running the team with him in a very difficult and critical period when a circle is closing and we have to draw a new one. The team needs a rebuild and we knew it but there are not proper people there to do it. In the beginning of the summer EM was talking with several technical directors etc but he hired none for reasons unknown. He lost precious time and now perhaps it's too late for drastic changes. The team collapsed today and couldn't do the simple things we are used to see.

Anyway. I think we'll survive and we'll find our way. EM has done it twice before.

But don't fool yourself. These are two different pockets run by different people and EM is well used to operate various things. He just has to appoint the right people because we lost a few important

Just seen the result. An expensive blow-up that. Do they drop into any of the Europa comps now?

Yes. Europa league qualifications but still this is not that easy. We are in a bad period and form, and in a far worse psychology

Clearly not all Oly fans agree with you Karteo

Yes, it's safe to say that Forest is not very popular at Piraeus atthe moment. The fans who feel this way are wrong, for reasons I explained above, but I share the frustration. We've been running on empty for a couple of years now, and the tank is completely empty now.

I watched a YouTube fan group discussing it and to be fair probably every like 30th comment mentioned Forest but the bigger concensus seemed to be.

(A) Martins needs to go, he's lost the dressing room and in particular the isolation of Fortounis away from the 1st team group (Bomb squadded?) has undermined his authority with the rest of the squad. Basically Martins is a club legend but needs to leave before it turns sour.

(B) Recruitment has been appalling/not clever enough. Players that should leave aren't being sold which creates little budget to buy players. Zinkernagel was one singled out as he is quite low cost and may be OK for a squad player in the league campaign but played horribly as a starter for the Champions League 2nd leg. In fairness I wanted to sign him but as a squad player for the Premier league, if we got anywhere near Europe I wouldn't have him starting.

I didn't see Mr M directly being called out too much but there was a lot about the structure of the club needing an overhaul and I think Forest being mentioned is natural and lets be honest happens both ways but like I said it seemed to be a very narrowly held view that I was probably even more sensitive to/fearing/looking for anyway.

I personally think the champions league format is crazy in that a club like Olympiacos having to qualify for the qualifiers seems off but do you think Martins goes now GBG/Karteo and do you see the Forest thing getting momentum and becoming bigger?

What has happened to Fortounis also, I know he had his injuries but did I interpret rightly he's been bomb squadded?

Sounds to me like a bit of complacency rather than focusing on Forest, they need to shake things up a bit in terms of the squad and management structure.

the comments regarding Forest from some idiots are completely wrong and you know people when things are bad, try to find excuses on anything easy in order to avoid making complicated thoughts.

the last 2 years we are run in a very very wrong way and that should be changed and it isn't by any means related to Forest.

if they were thinking a little more they would see that the club has a problem even before Forest succeed in championship. we are not destroyed the last couple of months.

but ok. don't bother about it. there is no reason. idiots are the only thing with high availability these days

There were plenty of Forest fans quick to criticise EM for prioritising Oly over Forest when things were going bad for us, it's the nature of the beast. Some see the bigger picture though.

Manchester United and Arsenal agree with you. Why not make it a closed shop for all the "Big" clubs?

If the Greek clubs fail so often that they have to qualify with the minnow countries' teams that's their problem. Let's also be honest here, Olympiakos are not a "Big" football club outside of Greece. The problem here seems to be the consistent failure of Greek teams in European competitions. Surely they should be better able to compete with the best that Israel has to offer anyway?

no Greek team can be fresh and ready at this time. they had only 10-15 days off and then started training to be ready without any match form etc. however the financial crisis in Greece has affected football greatly in the last 10 years and this is shown in all of our clubs and our national ranking. it's not that simple and cannot be discussed out of the general concept

Seems to be an overwhelming call to axe the manager, assuming you get rid of Martins who's even available to replace him?

It does feel like Martins has stayed a year too long, he has been there 4 years now and think his prime was when he players like Jose Sa & Podence. Even looking at the squad now not sure there is too many players that stand out.

My main concern is who will make the decisions rather than who the next manager will be.
