Can we just start the Lincoln away thread and just ignore our impending relegation?
Very much agree with this. If we play with the same shape and the same lack of intensity we showed in the first half against Brighton we get absolutely hammered and lose our goal difference advantage over West Ham. Pereira might as well use this game to give the 3 at the back a full trial -- we did look better when we went that way in the second half. But it has to be more defensive of course, with either Yates or Dominguez sitting in front of the defence.………..……Selz……………,,,,;,,

Can we just start the Fulham thread and pretend we never played Citeh.
3rd Jan 2009City 0 Forest 3
Pretty much my morning.Even from this distance, I will be hiding behind the sofa from the 6.30am kickoff with a cup of tea and Bowie the cat giving me a "WTF?" look as he tries to paw my bacon sandwich off the plate.
Picked a draw in our fantasy league. I refuse to select Forest to lose. Which is why i am deep in the relegation zone.

Billy Davies working his magic simply by watching from the stands.
I'm pretty certain if the forum hails Billy as our spiritual King and overlord again we'll have a repeat of that win.

We didn’t lack intensity, we lacked cohesion. We pressed but not as a unit.Very much agree with this. Attitude will be at least as important as tactics though. Fight for every ball and win the individual battles and there's always a chance of frustrating City and taking a point. I wouldn't put any money on it though.
"Hail Our Queen" - Is Billy Davies now Billie Davies?!
Me too.legit I am considering watching the West Ham game instead as its our best chance of staying out the bottom 3 if they fail to win.
no point getting angry now mate, just expect the worseI don't think I can bring myself to watch it. I will probably watch Bridgerton instead and check my phone at 10pm before going to bed angry anyway.
He’s already downgraded the BC Stand with a replica main stand, getting ready for a big drop off in crowds.3rd Jan 2009

I wouldn’t say there is a high chance given that West Ham visit Fulham who have a pretty good home record. There is a high chance that we go into the relegation places tomorrow evening, and we need to all collectively hold our nerve on that. There are still lots of points to play for, but I do believe that we have to fundamentally change something to get out of trouble. If we keep playing the same and just blindly hoping for an upturn in results, it wont happen.
Yeah the effort is there. But the players look like they're absolutely frightened to death of making a mistake. The passing is always very safe, rarely do you see a high-risk/high-reward pass in the final third. We didn’t lack intensity, we lacked cohesion. We pressed but not as a unit.
So much BS around about the players not trying. They’re trying, but they’re not trying as a team, more a collection of individuals.
I totally agree with this lineup.Try something different.
Although Vitor was giving the impression a formation change with so little time between games isn't a good idea.
It worked for Leeds at City, maybe we'll stumble onto something as well.

Apart from Sunday, of course.Just to add to that, I was looking through our results and realised that Taiwo at Brentford was the last time we scored a goal in the league that wasn't a set piece or a cross. And we can hardly say we cut through Brentford there.
Ironically the last well worked team goal in the league was probably against City.
Apart from Sunday, of course.
Williams looked most in need of a rest so I'd swap him for Aina. I don't thinknit would do any harm to give Jesus a rest either so I'd start Taiwo up front. I'd also consider resting Anderson, maybe for Dom and bring him on for the final 30 mins if we're still in with a shout.4-0.
